Sectional 49 – Champion: Morgan Township

Morgan Township 4 Kouts 3 

Hammond Academy 9 Covenant Christian 5 – Michael Lewis went 3-4 with a double and three RBI, Dorwynn Smith had a double, three RBI, and a run, Zach Anderson was 2-5 with a RBI and a run, and Derrick Swart was 3-4 with a run. Swart threw a complete game allowing one earned run and struck out eight. 

Washington Township 16 Westville 2 

Marquette Catholic 15 21^st Century 0 – John Allen went 3-4 with two runs, Robert Barron went 2-2 with two RBI and a run, Tommy Gotsch was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, Connor Donaldson was 2-2 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, and Will Cannon had a double, RBI, and four runs.

Washington Township 10 Marquette Catholic 0 

Morgan Township 8 Washington Township 0 – Hunter Swivel threw a two hit complete game shutout, striking out two. Colton Rosebaum wetn 4-4 with a homerun and two RBI, Conner Malmquist was 2-3 with a double, RBI, and a run, and Dylan Kutkiewicz hit a homerun.

 

Sectional 50 – Champion: Northfield

South Newton 16 Caston 0 – Tyler Martell went 3-4 with a double, four RBI, and three runs, Nate Vissering was 3-4 with a RBI and two runs, Desmond Costilla was 3-4 with a double, three RBI, and two runs, and Jay Hammel had two doubles, a RBI, and a run. Hammel struck out 10 in five shutout innings, allowing one hit. 

Northfield 18 West Central 1 – Blake Harner was 4-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs, Clayton Tomlinson was 3-3 with two doubles and four runs, Nate Drancik was 3-4 with a double, four RBI, and three runs, and Jared Vigar was 3-4 with two RBI and two runs. Dancik struck out six in two shutout innings. 

Southwood 2 North White 1 – Logan Barley threw a complete game allowing three hits, no earned runs, and struck out five. Mason Yentes was 2-3 with a double and a run and Barley singled and drove in a run. 

South Newton 6 North Miami 2 – Nick Babcock went 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI, Jay Hammel was 2-4 with a homerun, two RBI, and two runs, and Brody Derflinger singled and drove in a run. Babcock struck out 14 in a complete game win allowing three hits and one earned runs. 

Northfield 7 Southwood 1 – Nate Drancik struck out 11 in a complete game allowing one run on four hits. Trevor Burnworth was 2-3 with a double and a run, Jared Vigar was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Matt Coe was 1-3 with two RBI and a run. 

Northfield 2 South Newton 1 – Blake Harner struck out 16 in a complete game win allowing one run on six hits. Braden Ripplinger was 2-2 with a double, Matt Coe was 2-3 with a run, and Jared Vigar had a single, RBI, and a run.

Culver 12 Argos 10 – Jake Fisher was 3-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, Brandon Jones was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Cody Russell was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, and Collin Daley was 2-4 with three RBI and a run.

Culver 10 LaCrosse 9 – Brandon Jones went 2-4 with two RBI and a run, Collin Daley was 1-2 with two RBI and a run, and Ethan Shuman had a single, two RBI, and a run. Shuman got the win in relief throwing 3.2 innings, not allowing a run or a hit while striking out three. 

South Central 21 Oregon-Davis 1 

South Central 20 Culver 1 – Carson Husmann threw four innings allowing one run on two hits, striking out eight. BJ Intagliata was 2-2 with three RBI and three runs, Kyle Schmack was 3-4 with four RBI and two runs, and Jason Hughes was 2-3 with two RBI and a run.

Fremont 15 Lakewood Park 0 – Rhett Evans and Mick Laisure combined for a no hitter, Evans threw four innings and struck out seven. Ethan Marten was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, Kameron Colclasure was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and three runs, and Connor Kreis was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs. 

Bethany Christian 5 Hamilton 3 – Jacob Plank threw six innings allowing one earned run and struck out six. Sergio Lira Ayala went 2-4 with a RBI and two runs, Jonathan Yousey was 2-2 with a RBI, and Jonah Farran was 1-2 with a run. 

Fremont 8 Bethany Christian 2 – Rhett Evans went 3-4 with a double, triple, homerun, four RBI, and two runs, Dameon Turner was 1-2 with a RBI, and Evan Trusty singled and scored twice. Kameron Colclasure threw three shutout innings to get the win, not allowing a hit. 

FW Blackhawk 10 Elkhart Christian 0 – Callan Wood and Abe Hicks combined for a five inning no hitter, striking out nine. Hicks went 1-1 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs, Kyle Zurbuch singled and scored twice, and Jacob Berry was 1-2 with a RBI and a run. 

Fremont 5 FW Blackhawk 4 – Rhett Evans struck out 11 in a complete game allowing two hits and no earned runs. Evans went 2-2 with a double, triple, RBI, and two runs, Connor Kreis was 2-2 with a RBI, and Kameron Colclasure had a single, RBI, and a run.

Covington 2 Rockville 1 F/8 – Logun Fred threw seven innings allowing one run, five hits, and struck out six. Ethan Engle was 2-4 with a double and a run, Freed was 1-3 with a RBI, and AJ Kline singled and drove in a run.

Covington 14 Turkey Run 0 – Tanner Dreher went 4-4 with a triple, four RBI, and two runs, Ethan Engle was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, and AJ Kline was 2-3 with a RBI and a run. Joe Crawley threw all five innings allowing one hit and struck out six.

Rossville 26 Faith Christian 2 – Corbin Beard was 3-3 with a triple, four RBI, and two runs, Gabe Grizzle was 3-3 with four RBI and two runs, Dawson Jacoby was 3-3 with a RBI and three runs, Ben Rodkey was 2-4 with three RBI and two runs, and Evan Price was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs.

Tri-County 10 Sheridan 8 – Austyn Nevitt went 3-4 with a double, triple, and four RBI, Chase Kirby was 2-5 with a triple, two RBI, and a run, and Kale Lawson tripled and scored. Grant Melchi threw 2.2 innings in relief allowing one run on three hits. 

Rossville 5 Frontier 1 – Kelton Saylor went 2-3 with two triple, two RBI, and two runs, Corbin Beard singled and drove in two, and Dawson Jacoby was 1-2 with a run. Nolan Starkey threw four innings allowing two hits, no earned runs, and struck out four.

Rossville 6 Tri-County 1 – Evan Price threw five shutout innings allowing two hits and struck out four. Adam Terrell was 2-3 with a double and a RBI, Corbin Beard had a single, two RBI, and a run, and Ben Rodkey was 1-2 with a RBI and a run.

 

Sectional 55 – Champion: Daleville

Daleville 12 Cowan 0 – Peyton Smith went 3-3 with a double, three RBI, and three runs, Evan Etchison was 2-2 with a double and two RBI, Josh Price was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run, and Ethan Pittsford was 2-3 with three RBI. Etchison threw five shutout innings allowing five hits and struck out eight.

Wes-Del 14 Anderson Prep 2 – Nick Armstrong went 3-3 with a triple and four RBI, Cody Smith was 1-2 with two RBI, and Mason Whitted was 1-3 with two RBI. Cody Smith threw two no hit innings, striking out three. 

Daleville 10 Liberty Christian 2 – Evan Baker threw six innings allowing one earned run, four hits, and struck out nine. Josh Price went 2-2 with three runs, Max Stecher was 1-1 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Peyton Smith singled and drove in two. 

Southern Wells 2 Wes-Del 1 – Mikel Sutton threw a complete game allowing three hits, no earned runs, and struck out six. Mason Huffman was 2-3 with a double and a run, Sutton singled and drove in a run, and Reece Hasinbiller doubled. 

Daleville 16 Southern Wells 0 – Ryan Hale went 3-5 with a double, triple, five RBI, and two run, Jimmy Bowen was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Jared Waltemire was 2-3 with two doubles, three RBI, and a run, and Peyton Smith was 2-3 with three RBI and three runs. Evan Etchison threw five shutout innings allowing one hit and struck out eight.

Randolph Southern 15 Blue River 6 – Caleb Tomey went 3-4 with four RBI and three runs, Joseph Hosbrook was 3-5 with a double, three RBI, and a run, and Caleb Wissel was 2-4 with a RBI and two runs. Wiggington threw 3.2 innings allowing one earned run and five hits. 

Union City 11 Seton Catholic 7 – Zach Bradbury went 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, Trevor Spence was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, and Jacob Fulk had a double, four RBI, and a run. Spence got the win on the mound throwing six innings. 

Randolph Southern 7 Tri 3 – Bryce Dalzell was 2-3 with a run, Joseph Hosbrook singled and drove in two, and Colton Fisher was 1-2 with a RBI and two runs. Jordan Saylor threw 4.2 innings allowing six hits, no earned runs, and struck out six. 

Union City 8 Randolph Southern 6 F/8 – Zach Bradbury went 4-5 with a double, RBI, and three runs, Cameron Luster was 2-4 with three RBI and a run, Trevor Spence was 2-5 with a RBI and a run, Gabe Loesch was 2-4 with a double and a RBI, and Jacob Fulk doubled and drove in two.

Providence Cristo 15 Tindley 3 

University 7 Bethesda Christian 0 – Cade Carlson threw a no hitter, striking out 16 of the 22 batters he faced. Brock Moore tripled and drove in two, Dawson Estep doubled and scored three times, Garrett Hill singled and scored three times, and Tyler Galyean was 1-2 with a RBI. 

IN School for the deaf 13 Providence Cristo 2 

University 11 IN School for the Deaf 0 – Brock Moore struck out 12 in a threw hit shutout. Tyler Galyean went 4-4 with two doubles, six RBI, and a run, Moore had a single, two RBI, and two runs, Garrett Hill singled and scored three times, and Dawson Estep was 1-2 with three runs.

Indy Lutheran 7 Edinburgh 4 F/9 – Matthew Alter struck out 18 in eight innings allowing four hits and one earned run. Noah Wood was 2-3 with two runs, Alter was 2-5 with a run, and Zach Mitchell singled and drove in a run.

North Decatur 4 Rising Sun 3 F/8 – Alex Stirn threw six innings allowing two runs on four hits, striking out seven. Cameron Adams tripled and drove in three, Evan Smith was 1-2 with a RBI and a run, and Tyler Walterman was 1-2 with a run. 

Hauser 10 Oldenburg 0 – Trey Johnson went 3-4 with a double and two RBI, Aaron Mee was 1-1 with a RBI and a run, and Jacob Johnson was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs. Sam Meek threw six shutout innings allowing three hits and struck out nine. 

Hauser 7 North Decatur 2 – Sam Meek threw a complete game allowing three hits, no earned runs, and struck out nine. Kobe Meahl was 2-4 with two runs, Sean Miller doubled and drove in a run, and Jacob Johnson and Aaron Mee each went 1-3 with a RBI and a run.

Orleans 11 Crothersville 1 – Duncan Gerkin went 2-4 with a homerun, three RBI, and three runs, Evan Buechler doubled and drove in two, and Cooper Stalker had a single, RBI, and two runs. Gerkin threw all five innings allowing one run, one hit, and struck out nine. 

Orleans 7 Trinity Lutheran 2 – Duncan Gerkin threw a complete game allowing two runs on three hits, striking out six. Cooper Stalker was 2-4 with two runs, John McFarland and Gerkin each singled and drov in a run, and Evan Buechler doubled and scored.

Borden 19 New Washington 4 – Mason LaGrange went 3-5 with a double, seven RBI, and two runs, Kyle Leftwich went 2-2 with two doubles and two RBI, Cory Anderson was 2-3 with a double, three RBI, and a run, Jacob Robinson was 2-4 with a RBI and three runs, and Nick Marcum went 1-1 with a RBI and three runs. 

South Central 2 Christian Academy 1 – Zach Needler threw five shutout innings allowing just one hit and struck out four. Cam Bledsoe went 3-3 with a double, RBI, and a run, Needler was 2-5, and Wesley Wilson had a RBI. 

Borden 13 South Central 0 – Mason LaGrange went 3-4 with a double, triple, six RBI, and two runs, Kyle Leftwich homered and drove in three, and Noah Franklin hit a solo homerun and scored twice.

Northeast Dubois 5 Cannelton 0 – Reece Bauer threw a two hit complete game shutout, striking out eight. Brandon Merkel was 3-3 with a RBI and two runs, Case Eisenhut was 2-4 with a triple, RBI, and a run, and Bauer singled and drove in a run.
