Top 5 Uncommitted '25 Corner Infielders

Cooper Trinkle

Indiana's 2025 class currently boasts 27 division one commits to date, with lots of uncommitted talent still left on the board. Now that we have finished the fall season, we are beginning to go in-depth on the top uncommitted talent in the class, breaking them down by position. Today - we look at the top five uncommitted corner infielders in Indiana's 2025 class.

Mason Braun 1B / OF / New Prairie, IN / 2025

Braun is arguably the best hitter in Indiana's 2025 class, along with one of the most dangerous. Braun currently holds the best exit velocity (103.8 mph) that we have seen in Indiana's '25 class due to a well-sequenced swing, advanced physical strength, and eye-opening bat speed. The best way to sum up Braun's approach at the dish - controlled violence in a tight window. Braun's barrel explodes through the hitting zone with the path working in a slightly upward fashion, allowing for power and true ball flight from foul pole to foul pole. The 6-foot, 190 pounder offers defensive versatility - showing prowess at both 1B & in the outfield, with quick lateral movements and arm strength.

Matt Drozlek 1B / Westfield, IN / 2025

I have been impressed with the continued development of this 6-foot-6, 225 pound corner bat. There is immense power projection in Drozlek's game - a long-levered right-handed hitter with present strength in the barrel. Drozlek has shown power to all fields, including reaching upper-90s exit velocities in game settings throughout the fall of 2023. The Westfield product turns an upward barrel with above average bat speed and bat-to-ball skills that have continously improved. Drozlek is a '25 bat trending upwards with traits to suggest he will grow into more and more power as he matures.

Ian Wilson 3B / SS / Westfield, IN / 2025

A long-limbed athlete with significant upside - Wilson offers a strong toolset to go along with a projectable, 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame. Wilson possesses wiry strength that translates to present above average bat speed and an exit velocity that eclipses 97 mph. The bat works on a level plane through the hitting zone with athleticism present throughout the operation. A 7.11 runner - Wilson shows solid defensive actions at the hot-corner with enough arm strength to stick at the position at the college level.

Calen Schembra OF / 1B / Center Grove , IN / 2025

Another '25 bat trending upwards - Schembra carries a budding hit-tool & a valuable profile as a left-handed hitter with defensive versatility. The 6-foot, 185 pounder has a smooth left-handed stroke and turns the barrel to get on-plane early in the zone with middle-of-the-diamond direction. Schembra possesses solid bat speed that translates to a 93 mph exit velocity. Schembra is a very strong defender at 1B - showing solid actions that include soft hands and above average athleticism for a 1B. To go along with prowess at 1B, Schembra can also slide out to man a corner outfield spot where he offers arm strength (88 mph OF Velocity).

Luke MacDonald 3B / SS / Leo, IN / 2025

MacDonald has shown well in front of our staff throughout the fall and summer of 2023. The 6-foot, 180 pounder with compact strength offers athleticism and bat-to-ball skills from the left-side of the dish. MacDonald uses a leg kick timing mechanism to create linear stretch within the swing and he shows the ability to spray the ball across the yard with impact. MacDonald's turns a quick & accurate barrel that produces a peak exit velocity of 93 mph. A 7.04 runner - MacDonald has quick feet on the dirt with sure hands and average arm strength.
