With the 2019 Maryland High School baseball season just underway and games right around the corner, we begin to close out our complete preseason coverage with a look at every conference throughout that state. We will break down each conference with a preview of teams expected to contend as well as key players from across the league that you won't want to miss play.

Note: A preseason questionnaire was sent out to all Maryland high school baseball coaches in Mid-January to gain pertinent information for this piece but not all forms were completed and returned. Below is a compilation of information received as well as thoughts from our staff at PBR Maryland.

2019 Season Outlook

CH Flowers, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Parkdale look to be the class of Prince George's County once again with Oxon Hill emerging as a contender in 2019. CH Flowers lost quite a bit from last year's MPSSAA 4A State Semi-Finalists team in Zach Alston (Montgomery College), Chardale Folks (Wheeling Jesuit University), Anthony Robinson Jr., Jaden Pinkney (Lancaster Bible College), Thomas Espinosa (Prince George's CC), Christian McGowan, and James Toney (Prince George's CC). Luckily though, the Jaguars return the ultra-talented University of Hartford commit and SS/RHP Tremayne Cobb Jr. for his senior season along with three other returning starters and a bevy of arms. Seniors Josh Cochrane, Jaydon Whitehead, and talented sophomore Brandon Bradshaw will join Cobb Jr. in the everyday lineup and look to pace the offense. On the mound, Cobb Jr., Bradshaw, Terrell Delaney, Chase Thompson, Leonard Meade III, and Keith Wallace solidify another strong staff for 4th year head coach George Brown in 2019. Look for Sean Cordero and Jason Mitchell to also find roles on this year's team as key newcomers for CH Flowers.

Eleanor Roosevelt returns slick fielding shortstop and catcher Derek Ohringer for his senior season and Parkdale returns the big bat of senior Alvin Chapman. First year head coach Cornell Simms takes over a Clippers program at Oxon Hill that is coming off a 13-3 season and returns three starters and a solid core of young players. Seniors Paul Reid, Kevin Olivas, and junior Kyree Clark will be looked upon as the leaders in 2019 with key newcomers Nicholas Fennell, Tyler Smith, Jerone Scott, Kenneth Meredith, Rene Flores-Pena, and Caleb Hertz rounding out the influx of young talent.
