2015 HS Team Preview: Vestal

As the High School baseball season quickly approaches, PBR NY will be previewing teams across the state over the next month. We will also be out scouting the High School season providing NY with the most in-depth amateur baseball coverage possible. To do this we have hired nine scouts, spread across the entire state to give players the platform they deserve to be seen.

Biggest Matchup This Season:          
Union Endicott or Maine Endwell

Coach Anderson’s Outlook For 2015:
We will be inexperienced at pitching, but will have a strong offensive lineup. If we get quality innings from our young staff, we will be a tough out come sectional time.

PBR’s Take
Losing a big-time player like Nick Wegmann hurts – there’s no question, but TJ Wegmann and Mickey Mullins are two special players. Wegmann is headed to Binghamton and is a solidly build catcher with some strong upside. Mullins is one of the most underrated OF’s in the 2015 class. Extremely raw but highly athletic and how’s a plus arm and bat speed. Excited to watch Vestal this year as they do battle in section 4.
