Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted its first ever JUCO Sophomore Scout Day on Saturday, November 10th, at NOC Tonkawa home of the Mavericks. The event showcased 14 of NOC Tonkawa Sophomores. Each position player went through a pro-style workout and pitchers threw pens.

Today we look at four uncommitted sophomore arms. Each arm pounded the zone, throwing at least three pitches for strikes. See each player's full profile by clicking on their picture.

Chase Bridges RHP / Sterling, OK / 2016

A proportional and durable 6-foot-1, 205-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick before driving down the mound with quality leg drive, finishing over his front side towards the dish. Arm action is fast and violent in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball has riding action through the zone at 88-90, almost all strikes. Changeup shows heavy and late sink when down in the zone, some strikes, chase pitch, 75-77 mph. Slider has some depth with 10/4 shape, some strikes, 75-77 mph. Both off speed pitches are thrown with full arm speed.

Britt Brown RHP / Westmoore, OK / 2017

A lean 6-foot, 185-pound frame with room to add some size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before driving towards the plate with a slight hop and finishing towards the dish. Arm action is quick and has some length in the back getting behind him before coming through a ¾ slot. Fastball shows some late arm-run when down in the zone, mostly strikes at 81-83 mph. Slider is consistent with sweeping action and 10/4 shape, commanded well in the zone at 71-72. Changeup shows consistent sink at 76 mph, some strikes, thrown with full arm speed. Curveball comes from a slightly higher slot, showing near 12/6 shape with big brake and consistent depth at 69-70 mph, around the zone.

Tyler Kisner LHP / Guthrie, OK / 2017

A lean 5-foot-11, 170-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the left-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with a high up-down-and-out leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing to the third base side. Arm action is full and fluid with some quickness in the back and a wrist hook before coming through a near over the top slot. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with slight arm-side run and some down hill tilt, mostly strikes. Changeup is the go to off speed pitch, showing advanced command at the bottom of the zone with consistent arm-side run at 76-77 mph. Slider has cutter type action at 77-79 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball has late depth at 72-73 mph with 1/7 shape.

Ethan Wilson LHP / Thackerville, OK / 2017

A proportional 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame. On the mound, the left-hander works from an abbreviated and up-tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing to the third base side. Arm action is mostly fluid with moderate length in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball sits 80-82 mph with slight arm-side run, consistently commanded at the bottom of the zone to both sides of the plate. Changeup shows consistent fade at 74-75 mph, thrown with full arm speed, commanded down in the zone. Curveball has 1/7 shape with gradual brake at 66-67 mph, thrown as a strike and as a chase pitch. Slider has short 1/7 shape at 68 mph. Overall, an excellent strike thrower.
