The Oregon 2025 class rankings have been updated and expanded as we prepare for another preseason packed with event offerings for prospects in the area. 

The top 10 remains mostly the same from our late summer update but the overall list expands to feature more total prospects and there are some risers outside of the Top 10.

Hamilton & de Brun amongst the elite

Holding strong at #1 and #2 overall are RHP River Hamilton (Sam Barlow/Oregon State commit) and Slater de Brun (Summit/Vanderbilt commit). 

Although he missed some time this spring, Hamilton showed enough late in the season and into the summer to cement himself as another premier PNW arm and the top overall player in the class. As a pitching prospect, he checks all the boxes with his size, athleticism, projection and stuff. 2024 will be an important year for him in terms of accumulating innings and showing progress in all areas of his game to keep track with other high end arms across the country. 

One of the top overall players from the 2023 PBR Future Games, de Brun was a household name this summer and had as much helium as any prospect in the country. The recent Vanderbilt commit is as fast as they come with explosive actions in his game and prodigious power. Overall he’s one of the best speed/power threats in the country and has really come into his own as a well-rounded offensive prospect. 

Climbing to the #9 spot is ‘25 1B/OF Alexander Pearson (Tigard/Washington commit). Pearson has long impressed with his size, bat speed and power potential. Most recently this summer he put it all together and showed the ability to impact the ball like few others can while offering quality athleticism both at 1B and corner OF if needed. He generages easy lift in the swing without getting too steep through the zone and he can drive the ball just as hard to the backside gap. He’s also a very capable LHP who has been up to 84 with multiple pitches for strikes. 

Uncommitted Names to Watch

LHP Cole Crossley (Mountainside) is an intriguing left-handed arm to watch in 2024. He has a loose, whippy arm action with a lean, projectable frame. He drives the ball downhill from a high slot and shapes a tight breaking ball from the same release point. Overall he has feel for the zone with physical upside that could allow him to make gains quickly

INF Reid Linkmeyer (Liberty) comes in at 6’2, 200 lbs and delivers top end bat speed to go with above average exit velocities. The big bodied INF prospect moves well for his size and can move on the bases once he gets underway. The arm plays from the left-side and he does a solid job staying low for a taller defender. Offensively he has as high of a ceiling as maybe any prospect in the state. 

SS Wyatt Minto (Oregon City) made significant progress in all areas of his game over the last year and has been trending up for a while now. A fluid, easy defender with clean, crisp actions and body control. He projects to stay on the dirt long-term and is likely to stay up the middle. Offensively he has a balanced, easy swing and power that has consistently improved as he develops.
