Cypress Ranch's arms continue to shine. Last week their staff did not allow a hit, with Texas A&M commits, Matthew Thompson and JJ Goss leading the charge. Thompson went 6.1 IP, 15 K's 0 R, 3 BB, and Joe Sexton finished the game with 1 K in ⅔ of an inning. Goss threw another CG, allowing 1 unearned run and 3 BB, while punching out 11. Goss was also 4-for-5 at the plate with 2 2B, 1 3B, 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB

Texas commit. 5-9, (2) 2B, (6) SB, (5) R, BB, HBP

Jimmy Lewis, RHP, Lake Travis HS, 2019
LSU commit. Against Buda Hays, 7 IP CG, 1H, 1 ER, 9 K, 2 BB. 5th Win in a row, 2nd CG of the year.

Willie Rangel, LHP, Cleburne HS, 2019
Texas Tech commit. In a 6-0 win over Joshua HS, he threw a complete game shutout, allowing only 1 H, 2 BB, and struck out 16. Ranked No. 137 in the Texas 2019 Class.

Bristol Carson, LHP, Denton Guyer HS, 2020
8 innings pitched, 105 pitches, 1 hit (bunt single), 1 BB, 1 HBP, 12 K, 0 ER in a game that went 11 innings, Guyer won 2-1 over Keller Timber Creek on Friday night.

Ryan Targac, RHP/SS, Hallettsville HS, 2020
Texas A&M commit. 4-5, 2B, HR, 8 RBI, 2 SB.

Rhett Trlicek, Sr, Hallettsville HS, 2019
5-6, 2 2B, 7 RBI.

In a two game sweep over Rockwall, The Heath Hawks had several standouts.

Jared Southard, RHP, Rouse HS, 2019
Texas commit went 6 IP and struck out 14.

Chad Ricker, 1B/RHP, Argyle, 2019
UTSA commit. Earned the win over Decatur 2-1 with a CG, 12 K, allowed only 1 H on 1 R.

Jared Barta, RHP, Cuero HS, 2019
Cisco JC commit. Went 2-0 last week with 10 IP  0 R 2 H 18 K 3 BB . He threw a CG Shuout against Navarro HS, and he was 3-7 at the dish, 2 2b, 2 R, 3 RBI.

Cooper Nelson , LHP/1B, Brock HS, 2019

1-0 7.0 IP, 69 Pitches, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 5 K'S in 1-0 win over Paradise, Also drove in the games only run with an RBI single.

"Cooper was spot on with every pitch, he threw a ton of strikes and was very efficient. They were a good offensive team, and he kept their hitters off balance by changing speeds and locating his fastball, breaking ball, and changeup."

The UTRGV commit led Robert Vela HS to two victories vs Donna North and Edinburg High

Furman commit.  Complete Game 1-0 win over Lutheran south.  7 ip, 6 k, 2 bb, 0 runs. Lutheran south has 3 losses on the year, 2 coming vs stone.  The 2 walks were the first of the season in 37 ip

Texas commit. Hit .429 with 2 2B and a HR (Grand Slam) 8 RBI. On the season, Noah has 8 2B, 3 3B, 3 HR, 23 RBI.

Davis Benton, (Senior- Benbrook HS) Pitched a perfect game in 5IP in a 16-0 win vs Lake Worth.  He had 9Ks 0H. This was Davis Benton's first start in 14 months after a torn UCL last January. 4.25 GPA in the classroom.

Chris Morrow, Robinson HS, 2019
Hitting: 4-6, 2B, HR, 6 RBI. Pitching: 5 IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 7 Ks. 2 games in wins over ranked Lorena, and China Spring

Friday night Bartleson Field played host to not only a key District 26-6A matchup but also Military Appreciation Night. After taking game one of the series on Tuesday night the Hornets would look to complete the sweep of the Cougars. East Central would look to senior Tyler Vivier to quiet the Cougar offense Friday night, and he did just that. Vivier would only need 94 pitches to complete the game. Not only did Vivier manage to quiet the Cougar bats, he also managed to have an explosive night at the plate going 3-3 that included a 2R-HR in the bottom of the third and a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth. Senior Jason Mascorro and junior Steven Barrera joined Vivier in having multiple hit nights also. Mascorro with two hits that included a leadoff triple in the bottom of the 1st to set the table for the Hornets and Barrera with four hits that drove in one run. East Central would knock off Canyon by a final score of 9-1 and improve to 17-6-1 (6-1) on the year.

Snook 2 - Round Top Carmine 0. Lance pitched a complete game shutout. 12 K's, 1 BB, 3 hits. He went 3 for 3 with 3 singles. Scored the games only 2 runs. Friday against Somerville, he went 3 for 3 with 2 Triples and a single, 4 RBI's, 1 BB, 1HBP.
So for the week he went 6-6, four singles, 2 triples, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 4 RBI's and threw a complete game shutout with 12 K's and 1 BB.
