Outlook:
John Champe had a tough first year of varsity competition in 2014. In 2015, the Knights return all of their starters from last year and will have a chance to improve on their season as they continue to build toward their first graduating class in 2016. The Knights are deep on the mound and are looking for big things from Scott Schaffler (RHP, 2016), Nick Able (RHP, 2016), and Matt Newell (RHP, 2016). The Knights’ offense will be keyed by Yareb Martinez (MIF, 2017) this year as they look to be more of a factor in the extremely competitive Dulles District.
