Every Friday, PBR VA/DC posts all commitments from the previous week in this space, very much like Prep Baseball Report does nationally on Fridays with the Buzz. Make sure to let us know when you commit by quickly filling out our Commitment Questionnaire.

Brent Breeden

Brent Breeden, OF, Tuscarora, 2016
Breeden committed to Lenoir College. He hit from a crouched stance that had good balance. His stride was short and stayed on line. His lower half stayed engaged and balanced during swing, generating average bat speed. He posted an exit velocity of 74 mph in February of 2015. His short swing path should allow him to be a consistent line drive hitter. In the outfield, Breeden threw from a loose over the top arm slot that was accurate. His positional velocity was 79 mph in 2015 and he displayed soft hands with fluid footwork, playing through the ball.

Jonathan Caicedo

Jonathan Caicedo, RHP, Potomac, 2016
Caicedo committed to Mary Washington. He is a 6-foot-2 righty with a lanky frame. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and has a loose arm action to his smooth delivery. Caicedo’s fastball ran 78-80 on the day with some sinking action to it. He threw a very good, sharp, 11/5 curveball with full arm speed at 67-69 that he commanded well. Caicedo also threw a forkball that he slowed his arm down on but had good sink to it and ran 62-66.

Jacob Kisner

Jacob Kisner, RHP, West Springfield, 2016
Kisner committed to Chesapeake College. Kisner has an athletic frame and throws from an over the top slot. He has a quick arm and lands open. His fastball had some cut to it, sitting 79-81 in an April start. He showed a changeup with sink at 73 and a 12/6 curveball with late, sharp break running 68-72.

Michael Zubovich

Michael Zubovich, RHP/SS, Freedom (South Riding), 2016
Zubovich committed to Randolph Macon. He has a lanky frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. His arm action is short and loose, generating easy velocity. His shoulders are closed as he strides out to a square, athletic landing. Zubovich’s fastball had late run in a start in March, sitting 80-82. His changeup had fade with decent armspeed, running 71-72. His curveball had gradual 12/6 break, running 63-65.

Brendan Fletcher, 3B, West Springfield, 2016
Fletcher committed to Chesapeake College.
