Future Games Preview: Jack Eagan

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Wisconsin/Illinois

The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event featuring the top 2016 prospects from across our 10 state coverage area. This year taking place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN from July 31-August 2, hundreds of scouts from across the country will fill the stands to watch some of the top uncommitted 2016 prospects across our coverage area.

Last year Wisconsin’s Class of 2015 Future Games Team went undefeated and has already seen eight Division 1 commitments from that roster. Over the next several months we will begin to unveil prospects who have been selected to participate in this year's event with a brief history and bio of the player and what we can expect from him at the PBR Future Games.Jack Eagan

Name: Jack Eagan
High School: Wautoma
Graduating Class: 2016
Position: LHP
Height: 6-2
Weight: 200

Rank
State: 4
Overall: 20

Jack Eagan is a rare specimen in Wisconsin. At last year’s Future Games Bryant Jordan was one of the only arms to hit the magical 90 mph mark and this year Jack Eagan could join that list. Eagan is a physical LHP with one of the strongest arms in the state, he is still raw and there are some questions about his pitchability but when it comes to arm strength from the left side there are not too many comparisons to Eagan.

The Wautoma junior recently showed off his big arm at the Top Prospect Showcase where he was one of six arms to eclipse the 90 mph mark and the only 2016 graduate to hit that mark. Eagan’s physicality is impressive at his age, he boasts a big solid lower half and shoulders to match. Eagan will surely be a target you can’t miss at the Future Games as scouts will look to see how well he controls the baseball with his arm strength.
