This week’s 2014 Player Spotlight is Bishop Verot Center-fielder Evan Dougherty. The 6-foot-2 185lb, Duke commit finished his high school career in impressive fashion, batting .440 with 9 doubles, 11 triples, 3 homeruns, and 26 runs batted in.

A threat on the bases, the Vikings lead-off hitter stole 24 bases. Dougherty is the 2014 District 4A-11 player of the year and is a member of the 2014 NHSI All Tournament Team. Evan was a 4 year starter for the Vikings and served as the team's captain in his junior and senior years.
