Columbus Rolls to 11-2 Win

Columbus would move to 18-2 on the season thanks to a complete game from 2023 Gabriel Cruz and offensive onslaught from top to bottom in an 11-2 win over then No 6 St Thomas Aquinas. 

Cruz would get the start for Columbus and was impressive throughout the day. He sat 85-87 mph with a fastball through all seven inning and had late running life. He coupled that with a 74-77 mph sweeping slider. He would allow two runs around five hits and strike out five in the outing.

The 3-4-5 hitters of the Columbus order accounted for six hits and five RBIs. Led by Diego Prieto and Kyle Marti who both doubled, with Marti having a pair of doubles on the day. Marti, who was a standout at the Senior State games in the fall, continued to impress offensively,
