X-FACTOR
Mason Denaburg. Currently ranked No.1 in Florida and No. 3 in the country in the 2018 class, Denaburg is a major X-factor for the Mustangs. With a fastball that has been up to 97 mph, he has 1st round potential on the mound. Denaburg is also equally impressive at the plate. He will look to also lead the way offensively for Merritt Island. As Denaburg goes, so will the Mustangs.

OUTLOOK
The Mustangs will look to a pair of seniors to build on strong 2017 campaigns for a successful 2018 season. Denaburg, who batted .449 with seven doubles, four home runs and 19 RBIs and was 3-1 on the mound with a save while striking out 28 in 21.1 ip. They will also rely on Chase Victor who was 6-1 while striking out 46 in 43 ip while also batting .387 with 19 RBIs in 2017.  Transfer Kyle Denton will also look to impact the Mustang offense while freshman Miami commit Chase LeBlanc will look to bolster the rotation.  The returning talent bring Merritt Island in at No 21 in Preseason Power25.
