No. 3 Lake Central 8 Bishop Noll 2 – Ethan Darter got the win throwing five innings allowing one run on three hits, striking out eight. Ryan Ruthrauff had two RBI, Zack Turnbough scored three rims, and Matt Litwick was 2-4 with two runs. 

No. 4 Cathedral 17 No. 19 Lawrence Central 1 

No. 7 Carmel 7 No. 16 Westfield 3 – Tommy Sommer threw four shutout innings allowing one hit and striking out four and Austin Sale threw two shutout innings, striking out two. Colin Donahue was 2-4 with two RBI, Sam Micheels was 2-3 with a double and three runs, and Justin Greene was 1-4 with a RBI. 

No. 9 Roncalli 3 Cardinal Ritter 2 – Sam Phillips threw four innings to get the win, allowing one run on two hits, striking out six. Tyler Lucas got a three inning save allowing one run on two hits, striking out four. Cody Smith was 2-2 with a RBI, Will Harris and Lucas each had a RBI, and Nick Schnell was 1-3 with a run. 

No. 11 Hobart 2 Washington Township 0 – Braden Niksich threw a two hit complete game shutout, striking out 12. Mickey Wolfe was 1-2 with a RBI, Luke Budzielek had a RBI, and Brock Budzielek and Josh Uhles each went 1-2 with a run. 

Plainfield 17 No. 22 Evansville Reitz 8 

No. 25 LaPorte 11 New Prairie 5 – Jake Watterson got the win throwing five innings, striking out six. Brogan Briggs was 3-4 with a double and two RBI.

No. 3 Griffith 17 Calumet 0 – Kody Hoese homered, drove in four RBI, and scored three times, Denny Colomes was 2-2 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, and Amir Wright was 1-2 with two RBI and three runs. Joe Martoccio went 2-2 with a RBI and two runs, Jared Lipski went 1-2 with a double two RBI, and a run, and Gabe Pulido went 1-3 with two RBI and a run. Julian Rutherford threw two perfect innings, striking out two and Charlie Flores struck out all three batters he faced. 

Lafayette Jefferson 6 No. 4 Lebanon 3 – Chandler Ferguson struck out 14 to pick up the win, allowing three runs on five hits. Jeremy Griggs struck out two in the seventh to pick up the save. Griggs at the plate went 2-2 with a double, RBI, and two run, Nick McCalment was 1-2 with a double, RBI, and a run, Ferguson was 1-3 with a RBI, and Justin Walker scored twice.

 

2A/1A Top 10

No. 3 Rockville 6 West Vigo 0 – Kaleb Huxford struck out 13 to get the win on the mound 5.2 shutout innings.

Boone Grove 2 Merrillville 1 – Jeff Birchfield struck out 10 in five innings of work allowing one run on two hits. Tanner Barron was 2-4 with a RBI, Chuck Kidd was 2-3, and Teddy Truby was 1-2 with a RBI. 

Columbus East 15 Charlestown 1 – Luke Hostetler had a big day at the plate going 2-3 with two doubles, driving in six runs, and scoring twice. Jon Crawford was 1-3 with two RBI and a run, Charlie Burton was 2-4 with two RBI and a run, Harry Crider was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Nick Andole had a RBI and scored twice. Jon Crawford got the win throwing three innings allowing one run on four hits, striking out four. 

Crawfordsville 9 Heritage Christian 0 – Trent Johnson struck out 11 in a three hit, complete game shutout. Brendan Dowell led the offense going 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and three runs, Josh Blackburn went 1-3 with a RBI and a run, Chase Dowell and Westin Evans each had a hit and two RBI, and Tommy Edwards was 2-5 with a RBI. 

Evansville Central 4 Mt. Vernon 0 – Jordan Cozart threw four shutout innings to get the win allowing three hits and striking out five. Dalton Peerman threw three hitless innings and struck out three to get the save. Peerman was 2-4 with a double, Jimmy Chitwood and Jamir Simpson each went 1-3 with a RBI, and Evan Kahre was 1-3 with two runs. 

Faith Christian 15 Grace Christian 5 – Thomas Larson went 2-4 with a homerun, four RBI, and four runs, Jaylin Barnes was 2-2 with a double, RBI, and five runs, and Jordan Welsh was 1-4 with three RBI and a run. 

Guerin Catholic 11 Lapel 1 – Luke Buehler went four innings to get the win allowing one run on six hits and Grant Fremion threw three shutout innings allowing three hits. Ryan Rueffer went 3-5 with a RBI and a run, Nick Theime was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, and Kash Hale was 2-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs. 

Homestead 10 FW Northrop 0 – Alex Bradtmiller (four innings, seven strikeouts), Jack Parisi (one inning, two strikeouts), and Sam Kirvacs (one inning, one strikeout) combined for a no hitter in the opening win. Nick Davit went 2-3 with four RBI and a run, Zach Schwartz was 3-3 with a RBI and a run, and Brady Sheehan doubled and drove in a run. 

IL No. 4 Mt. Carmel 5 Crown Point 4 – Alex Ruiz was 1-2 with two RBI, Charlie Patrick was 1-3 with two runs, Brand Haczynski doubled and scored, and Grayson Lynk had a RBI. Mark Mazure went four innings allowing four hits and no earned runs. 

Martinsville 11 Union 1 – Kameron Wilson was 2-3 with three RBI and a run, Dalton Rollings went 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, Alex Dearmon had three RBI and two run, Noah Cribelar tripled, drove in two, and scored once, and Bryan Hinkle was 1-1 with two RBI and a run. Cribelar got the win throwing four innings allowing one run on two hits, striking out six. 

North Montgomery 12 Greencastle 3 – Baylee Adams went 2-2 with a double, three RBI, and two runs to lead the offense. Justin Clary wad 2-4 with three runs, Caleb Donahue was 2-4 with two RBI, and Bryce Frederick was 1-1 with a double, RBI, and two runs. Mitch Merica got the win throwing four shutout innings allowing two hits and striking out eight. 

Northfield 3 Blackhawk Christian 0 – Remington Monce threw a no hitter to get the win, striking out 17. Jared Vigar went 2-4 with two RBI, Jakob Hayes was 1-2 with a run, and Xian Rodriguez was 1-3 with a run. 

Portage 12 Elkhart Memorial 4 – Jacob Dickson had a big game going 3-5 with two homeruns, three RBI, and two runs, Jesse Bustos was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, Jacob Kendall was 2-4 with a RBI and two runs, and Hunter Thorn doubled and drove in two runs. Dickson also threw the final three innings, not allowing a run or a hit, while striking out five. 

Princeton 3 Tell City 0 – Lane Rumple threw four shutout innings allowing three hits and striking out seven and David Ellis got the win throwing three shutout innings allowing one hit and striking out four. Brogan Reneer was 1-3 with a RBI and Cordell Gooch and Trever Boyle each went 1-4 with a RBI. 

Southmont 11 Cloverdale 2 – Coy Archer was 2-5 with a RBI and two run, Cole Roach was 2-3 with a RBI and a run, and Ben Paddock and Clayton Berrisford each had two RBI. 

Union County (KY) 4 Ev. Mater Dei 3 – Adam Wildeman was 2-3 with three RBI, Jackson Pokorney was 1-2 with two runs, and Kurtis Wilderman had a hit and a run. 

Westville 5 Covenant Christian 0 – Alex Quinn threw four shutout innings, striking out nine and not allowing a hit to get the win. Riley Cuma went 2-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs, Quinn was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Eric McClintock was 1-3 with two RBI.
