The underclass edition of the Preseason All-State will bring the top underclassmen in the state to Pro X Athlete in Westfield, Indiana on Sunday, March 3rd. This years' roster has a chance to be one of the most talented events we've ran in recent history, with a deep roster loaded with young talent.

Read along to learn about some of the top prospects in attendance, staff predictions for the event, and a handful of 'breakout candidates'.

Top Prospects

It is impossible to touch on all of this talent in just a small preview, however the top-end talent at this event is staggering. Sophomore phenom Hudson Devaughan (Alabama) enters the weekend after reaching 94 mph at multiple winter events. Devaughan is the top-ranked arm in the class, followed closely behind by Aiden Smith. Kobe Cherry and Beckett Doane are Future Gamers looking to affirm their status amongst the top-ranked players in the class. The four will combine for 'must-watch' bullpens that are bound to be electric. Look for sophomore arms like Harrison Haq, Jaxon Lueken, Kellen Thomson, amongst others, as potential breakout canidates.

On the offensive side of the ball, the roster is headlined by the top-ranked '26 shortstop in Indiana, Dylan Bowen. Bowen is joined by fellow-Northern Indiana native, Parker Robinson, who is the top-ranked 2027 prospect in the state. Other hitters that I am stoked to see are : '27 1B Grady Nelson, '28 INF Dylan Murphy, '27 CF Drake McClurg (Indiana), '26 SS Trent Gill (Indiana), and '26 two-way standout Colt DeHart. I will be excited to see which sophomore slugger posts the loudest round of batting practice between OF/C Rob Czarniecki, OF/C Reed Robinson, and 1B/OF Blake Cope. We will have a chance to monitor the development of highly touted freshman hitters like SS/CF Liam Delp, 3B Crewe Hasenour, UTL Mason Meyer, SS Brayden Ring, and OF Lincoln Hoffman

This event seems to always have a handful of freshman arms begin to seperate themselves from their peers. Gavin Markus, Jaylen-Wells Henderson, and Mason Gomez are my '27 'pick-to-click' arms with a chance to solidfy themselves near the top of the class. Find these names, amongst plenty of others, after our staff takes a crack at predicting which players will post the loudest metrics.
