OUTLOOK
The Hornets return 5 starters from last year's squad led by three year starter AJ Ward and 1st Team All Passaic County 1B/LHP Jason Langevin. This will be one of Coach John Mazzo's best teams in his tenure at P.V., with some young players poised to step into the spotlight and perform. 2019 RHP Chad Cole returns from injury to bring another strike-throwing arm to compliment Langevin – and look for 2019 C Steven Nitch to make a big jump this spring as well. Nitch, who is still uncommitted, is one of the best catch-and-throw catchers in North Jersey. Ben Adili has solid strength as a junior and is great under pressure. With a wealth of depth in the batting order returning and an All-County player leading the staff, expect Passaic Valley to compete for the County and Sectional Titles in 2018.
