PBR Oklahoma strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.

As we close the door on 2021 and head into 2022, PBR OK takes a look at the top 10 most viewed profiles of the year. We are able to drill down into the data and track the number of reads thanks to Google Analytics. As we usually see, the list is dominated by some of the top performers and players who have made commitments this year.

McGowan checks in as the 6th most ranked viewed profile in the State after a stellar career at Eastern Oklahoma State JC.  McGowan used his overpowering stuff to punch out hitters at a high rate which led to him getting drafted in the 7th round and signing with the Philadelphia Phillies making him one of the top drafted Junior College players in this draft and pulling him away from his commitment to Texas Tech.

2021 MLB DraftHailing from a town of about 600, McGowan stands at a physical 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and possesses a quick arm through a high-3/4 slot. At his best, he runs his fastball into the upper 90s, sitting mostly 93-95. He backs his heater up with a mid-80s slider that can miss bats, as well as a quality low-80s changeup. His developing command has become average due to his good arm action and delivery that only needs a little polish. The No. 2 junior college prospect in the country, he fanned 109 and walked 30 in 74 innings this spring.

2020 DRAFT: With an aggressive and physical presence at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, McGowan has a quick arm from a high three-quarter slot and challenges hitters with his three-pitch arsenal. He's an athletic right-hander who can sink/tail his fastball to his armside or ride it through the letters at 91-95 mph. He also shows the ability to miss bats with his low-80s breaking ball and his quality 82-84 mph changeup to his armside. His developing command has a chance to become average in the future due to his good arm action and delivery that only needs some polish to the finish. For the 2020 season he finished 4-0 with a 3.31 ERA and struck out 58 while walking 14 in 35.1 IP. Originally from Bokchito, OK (population 632), McGowan is committed to Kansas State for next school year and his signability will have the most to do with his potential selection in a shortened draft this summer.
