PROGRESS Report

Last Look Notes: June, 15, 2021, PA State Games, The highly athletic outfielder featured good rotational power to the pull-side with some length in the swing at times. Pushed bat-speeds into the upper-70's and dealt damage when getting pitched out over the plate. Recorded an 80 mph throwing arm from his position with corner projection down the road. Will be an interesting bat down the road as he continues refinement.
 
Recent Improvements: March 13, 2022, Tri-State Arsenal Scout Day, More physical now at 6-foot-3, 185lbs, Boccella took aggressive swings during a standout batting practice round, reaching a 90 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak. Stayed on the ball well with some extension through the backside of the field, while able to handle the inner half per usual flashing above-average bat-speeds (79 mph AVG). Then slid over to the outfield with moderate effort, notching an accurate 80 mph arm strength with more available. Got clean reads off the bat and rounded the ball downward with some tempo. Will fit fine somewhere in the 4-6 spot at the next level.
