TOP PLAYERS (Coach’s Comments)

Deontae House, 2016, SS/P/C, R/R, 5'10"/ 220, undecided.  The most dedicated and subsequently improved player on our roster.  Upside is great and would grade out as a college level 3B.  He is heart and guts and determination.

Del Vaughn, 2015, 2B/P, R/R, 5'11"/180, undecided.  Great hands, flashes of defensive brilliance, able to handle the bat in situations for productivity.  An extremely effective shift to sidearm delivery made him our go-to relief arm in tight spots.  Showed great promise as a starter through the summer schedule.

Isaac Haynes, 2016, P, R/R, 6'5"/185, undecided. Great command pitcher who works for inducing contact.

According to the Coach

This is will be an interesting year for the Indians, as we return two full-time starters from a competitive team last year.  The pitching staff is manned by a few who logged significant varsity innings and performed well.  The defense appears to be improved especially in regards to infield play; however, offensively the entire lineup has been been replaced.  The players are working hard to once again challenge any and every opponent.  The district 15-AA once again seems wide open.  Region 7 and 8 in AA has seen its fair share of competitive teams making it to State, so that, as always will be the goal.
