Tahoma & Eastlake (3.9.24)

Eastlake HS

‘24 RHP Andrew Recob, Uncommitted
Recob got the opening day start for Eastlake and was stellar across 3 innings of work on his way to securing the W. Operating with a simple, mechanically sound delivery, he maintains consistent direction towards the target with a clean arm stroke and high ¾ release. FB works 82-84 with solid command and pairs with a CB at 67-70. Final line of 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

'25 INF/RHP Cody O’Donnell, Uncommitted
Quick and varied tempo delivery with a ton of aggression and moxy. Commands his fastball, sitting low 80’s but goes and gets 84 when he wants. Adds and subtracts his breaking ball, showing depth at times, operating in the low 70’s. Stuff isn’t overpowering but he knows how to use it and isn’t afraid to challenge guys. Pitched 4 scoreless innings, striking out 3 with no walks or hits in a high leverage game.

'24 C Jack Edmunds, Brown commit
Large framed, mature and developed build. Steady defender type that shows some arm strength. Receives the ball well within his frame and flashes carry on throws to bases. Has shown he can receive velo in the past. Hits with a tap back stride and direct path to the ball. Strong hands through the zone with power to drive the ball. Chance to see additional power with added loft.

'24 OF Grady Woodward, Washington commit
Athlete first with ability to play a premium position. Shows off solid range and instincts in center and can be a future average or better defender in center. Hits with a loose stroke and bat speed, showing the ability to run into the ball and do some damage. With some mechanical adjustments there could be a chance to tap into even more power as all the tools are there.

Bat first profile at second. Strong, medium frame with present strength. Has feel to hit and controls his barrel well. Starts in his legs with an open set up. Relaxed feel in the box, showing clear intent with strong load and loft through contact. Extra base potential with the bat and can make the routine play at second.

'26 SS Beckett Turnbow, Uncommitted
Fun ball player with offensive potential. Lots of comfort in the box, calm and athletic set up with loose rhythm. Good separation and the hands stay tight to the ball with more of a line drive path. Solid actions with a strong throwing arm make for a versatile option. Shows instincts on the bases.

'25 LHP Adam Jay, Uncommitted
Medium framed lefty with good feel to manipulate the baseball. Works 84-87 with the fastball but really knows how to move it with good sink and run at times. Mixes in a horizontal slider in the mid 70’s but his real weapon seems to be the changeup. The change operates in the upper 70’s and plays off his fastball well, also showing confidence to throw it to both sides. Fastball has a chance to be a real weapon with added velocity and could see Jay being a valuable piece to add depth to a staff at the next level. .

'26 RHP Sean Evans, Uncommitted
Looks the part physically and is a projectable athlete with good arm speed. Fastball works mid 80’s with more in the tank, touching 87 repeatedly and with ease during this outing. Showed off a curve at 72-74 with an 11-5 action and good depth at times. Flashes real stuff and just needs to see improvements with consistency. One of the top arms in the state for his class and has a chance to lock that down with a successful ’24 season.

'26 LHP Neal Burtis, Uncommitted
Interesting lefty with a medium frame and some room to fill. Fires with a loose arm from a 3/4 release and has some deception to the delivery. Fastball operates low-mid 80’s touching 85 with occasional left handed life. Delivers both secondary pitches in the mid 70’s with a sweepy breaking ball and straight change. Like the arm stroke and there is some projection in the frame. Could see improvements down the line
