Welcome to the Arizona Daily Roundup. 

Baseball season is finally here. As of Wednesday, February 26th, the AIA high school baseball season is officially off and running. Throughout the spring, PBR will be posting Daily Roundup with some scores and select performances from past games.

No.1 Hamilton beats No. 5 Red Mountain with big 1st inning. Freshmen, 2023 Roch Cholowsky who usually plays SS with his age has been starting at first base for the defending 6A State Champions. Cholowsky went 2 for 3 with two doubles in this big game with a run and RBI. Senior leaders, C Tyler Wilson, GCU commit & 3B Will Maxey, Kansas commit both had two hits a piece themselves. Wilson with a triple in the game. 

No. 6 Nogales pulls away late in the game to beat No. 15 Chaparral. 2022 SS Demetrio Crisantes capped a big week going 3 for 5 with a HR, 2B, & 1B while notching 2 runs & 3 RBI's. Had 6 extra base hits on the week. 

No. 20 Mountain View scored 4 runs in the top of the 7th to edge No. 19 Mesquite. Led on the mound by 2021 RHP Aiden Bevier who went 5 1/3 innings, allowing 3 hits & 2 runs while striking out 7 batters on the day. 

No. 15 Chaparral hit 3 HR's to hold on to beat No. 16 Notre Dame Prep. Seniors- Apodaca, Long and Stone all had HR's in the game. CF Enzo Apodace, Paradise Valley commit went 3 for 5 with 2 runs & 3 RBIs. 3B/RHP Trevor Long went 3 for 4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI's. LHH 1B Tyler Stone, uncommitted went 1 for 4 with a monster shot to RCF.
