41 players from last year’s event went on to make college commitments following the event. The top overall prospect from the event was Gaoshua Williams (Providence Catholic, 2017). Williams, a high-level athlete, ran a 6.66 laser-timed 60 at the event and later committed to Central Michigan. The top arm of the event was RHP Jack Marshall (Kaneland, 2017). Marshall showed off an athletic, quick arm and ran his fastball up to 88 mph.

Looking at this year’s current roster, there are a number of intriguing prospects to keep an eye on come Sunday. SS Jamarion Loston (Morgan Park), a former Future Games participant is the highest ranked player registered. Loston is a high-end middle infielder who can handle the bat.

Jamarion Loston (8.4.16)

LHP Ryan Surin (Joliet Catholic) may be one of the bigger sleeper’s still available in the 2018 class. Surin has been working his way back from injury and we have been able to see him twice this fall. Surin has a clean, loose arm, throws a high-volume of strikes and has a three-pitch repertoire. His fastball has sat comfortably in the mid-80’s in both outings.

Outfielders Tommy Nelsen (St. Charles North), Kevin Lapka (Lane Tech), Bryce Burton (Marmion) and utility Bobby Grimes (Nazareth) should also catch attention on Sunday, among a number of others.
