2024 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Starters:

3

Top Returning Players:

Owen Fetsch, INF/ RHP, 2024, Right/ Right. Owen has been the 10th man for the Bullpups the last two years and should make a break-out. Started at QB for the Bullpup football team and he has a plus arm and really found a groove on the mound late last year. He catches a lot of barrels and will likely find a spot on the infield in 2024.

Ian Razak, LHP, 2025, 6'2", 175, Left/ Left. Ian became one of the top arms for the Bullpups in 2023 including a state semi final win over Paola. He is really developing as an elite lefty arm, but will likely be needed as a 2 way guy in 2024 playing some first base.

Carter Allen, UTIL, 2025, 6' 0", 190, Right/ Right. Carter played primarily 2B for the Bullpups in 2023 and had some big innings late in the year on the mound. He will likely transition to catcher this year with the loss of Dawson Feil to Cloud CC, but will also be asked to pitch for the Bullpups.

Brock Richardson, INF, 2025, 6'1", 190, Right/Right. Brock started every game for the 2023 Bullpups and played primarily 3B. He did receive some post season honors via all conference. He will continue to play infield and will look to be a top of the order guy for the Bullpups. He hit . 282 with some big time hits in big situations.

Top Newcomers:

Brody Seidl, OF, 2025, 6"0 170. Left/Right, Brody is a scrappy player that will add some speed and athleticism to the line-up. Could play any OF position.

Logan Beede, RHP, 2025 Right/ Right. 6'4", 200. Logan has really come along as an

Brenden Doile, INF, 2025 Right/Right, 6'1" 165. Brenden has played a lot of baseball and could help the Bullpups on the mound or as a corner infielder.

Cade Strathman, INF, 2026, 6'2", 170, Right/ Right, Sophomore with lots of upside on mound and on the infield.

Coach’s Insight:

“The strength of McPherson will be their pitching staff. Ian Razak, Carter Allen, and Owen Fetsch all threw innings in their state championship run and believe they all can take a step forward. Younger guys like Logan Beede, Cade Strathman, and Brenden Doile will need to accept bigger roles. The Bullpups lost 8 seniors from a team that won back to back state titles. They will rely on some youth in a large 2025 group. They will rely on pitching and defense to start the year and hope to develop offensively as the year goes and get some timely hitting. ” – Heath Gerstner, head coach
