With 2020 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best 2021 high school coverage that can be found anywhere. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2021 Spring Team Preview: Elder Panthers

Team Name: Elder Panthers
Head Coach: Mark Thompson
Division: I
2019 Record: 22-10
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 2/3

2021 Team Strengths:

  • We'll have pretty good team speed and will build around that offensively. Not a team that can afford to sit back and play for the big inning. We don't have a dominant starting pitcher but good depth overall (I think) on the mound.

Coach Outlook: "After not having a season last year I really don't know what to expect. I think everyone is in the same position. Players who might look good in the cage/practice might be completely different once we compete against other schools. Just don't know how they will react once the heat is turned up."
