With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Massillon Tuslaw Mustangs

Team Name: Massillon Tuslaw Mustangs
Head Coach: David Burkett
Division: III
2018 Record: 6-19
Conference Record: Pac 7: 1-11
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/5

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Young players with varsity experience
  • Pitching

Coach Outlook: "The coaching staff looks forward to an exciting 2019 season with 8 returning letter winners. The PAC-7 Conference will again be a very competitive and down-to-the-wire race. The conference makes all 12 league games very important and anything can happen."

PBR Outlook: Coach David Burkett is looking for his Mustangs to be competitive all year in his 24th season at the helm. Tuslaw will look to improve from 2018 and strive for a PAC 7 title.
