2021 Spring Team Preview: South Point Pointers

Team Name: South Point Pointers
Head Coach: Zack Jenkins
Division: III
2019 Record: 12-14
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/3

2021 Team Strengths:

  • Athleticism
  • Speed
  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "We are going to be very young. Only 5 upperclassmen in the program. We do not have a pitcher who has thrown a pitch in a varsity game. I do feel we are very athletic and defensively we should be sound. All in all if our young kids can grow up quickly we can have a successful season."

Top Returning Players:

  • Hunter McCallister, RHP/1B/3B, 2021, 6’2/205 lbs, R/R, 2 year starter. He will be our ace this year. Middle of lineup hitter.
  • Brendan Dillon, CF/RHP, 2021,5’9/155 lbs, R/L, 4 year starter. Our most experienced player started corner outfield as a freshman and sophomore. One of the fastest kids in our conference. Lead off hitter, solid defender.
