With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Whiteoak Wildcats

Team Name: Whiteoak Wildcats
Head Coach: Chris Veidt
Division: IV
2018 Record: 28-3
Conference Record: 13-0, (1st) Southern Hills Athletic Conference
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/6

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Returning Pitching
  • Team Defense
  • Aggressive Base Running

Coach Outlook: "We should contend for a SHAC title and make a legitimate tournament run again this season."

PBR Outlook: The Whiteoak Wildcats and head coach Chris Veidt had a magical season in 2018, winning 28 games, going undefeated in the SHAC and making a run to the state semifinal. In 2019, the Wildcats return a plethora of talent and should be a team to watch all year in D-IV.
