Elite Prospect Showcase Spotlight: SS Kris Kremer

Kris KremerLess than three weeks remain until PBR Pennsylvania's Elite Prospect Showcase on November 7th at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim. Today, we continue our series of previews on prospects who will be in attendance, as we highlight Hershey 2017 shortstop Kris Kremer.

Inside Kremer's 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame lies wiry strength and quick-twitch actions. The right-handed hitter attacks the baseball with a quiet body and good bat speed (90-mph exit velocity), and has shown the ability to routinely barrel the baseball in batting practice and game action, while also posting in-game home-to-1B times of 4.25-4.30.

Defensively, Kremer's slight frame belies his ability to stick at shortstop at the college level. He has plenty of arm strength (90-mph across the diamond) to go along with good feet, athletic actions, and a soft glove hand that he trusts. Despite not having pitched in half a decade, Kremer even ran his fastball into the 84-86 range for an inning this summer.
