Flood City Elite

Mount Union Area 2019 right-handed pitcher Dylan Gearhart, who verbally committed to West Virginia earlier this summer, cruised through two frames before appearing to fatigue in his third inning. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder has a clean arm action and some whip out front. Fastball sat 82-83, while his go-to secondary pitch was was a tight, downer curveball at 70-72 that he consistently threw for strikes.

Philipsburg-Osceola 2017 shortstop Logan Williamson went 4-for-11 with one double, two runs scored and two walks out of the leadoff spot over the course of the weekend. The right-handed hitter flashed bat speed and maintained it on offspeed pitches. Sound defender displayed the ability to make all the routine plays with above average arm strength while playing the ball on the move. Williamson committed to Shippensburg shortly after the completion of the tournament.

Hollidaysburg 2017 OF/RHP John Servello showcased the offensive skill set that led to his commitment to Buffalo shortly before the start of the tournament going 6-for-10 with three walks, two triples and a home run on the weekend. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound two-way prospect also topped at 87 mph in a short, one inning stint on the mound.

Hollidaysburg 2019 RHP Sam Servello recently announced a commitment to West Virginia. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder sat 84-85, down from the top velo of 89 mph that he posted at the Eastern PA Top Prospect Games in June. The rising sophomore continued to impress with the potential of his 71 mph curveball with tight, two-plane break.

Kiski School 2017 3B/RHP Omar Ward flashed the raw power and two-way abilities that led to a commitment to Canisius the day after the tournament. The right-handed hitter went 6-for-11 on the weekend and showcased his above average foot speed on a top line time of 4.27. The right-handed pitcher also created a stir when he moved to the mound and sat 86-89 with good depth to his 72 mph curveball for an inning.

Blair County Christian C/RHP Casey Winters displayed a solid two-way skill set over the course of the weekend. The 6-foot, 220-pound right-handed hitter went 4-for-9 with four walks while sitting 83-86, touching 87 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound.

Windber Area 2017 RHP Braxton Roxby sat 79-82 with cut to his fastball out of a high 3/4 arm slot. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound uncommitted senior also fashioned a 70 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation. 

Berlin Brothersvalley 2018 SS/RHP Nick Gooden jumped onto our radar with a solid 4-for-8, two walks stat line offensively and three solid innings of work on the mound. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-hander sat 81-83 while spinning a solid 11/5 breaking curveball. He also showed good sell on a 76 mph changeup while striking out four and allowing just two hits.
