Underclass Fall World Series: Feature Five

The Underclass Fall World Series brough together a loaded field of teams, and with that, it provided us many standout prospects. While there were numerous, both from Georgia and out-of-state, the scope of this article will remain in the Peach State. Below you will find one of the breakout bats of the fall from the 2025 class, three 2025 right-handers that poised for big things down the road, and a sweet swinging 2026 C/OF that will be one to watch.

Aiden Zagryn 3B / Blessed Trinity , GA / 2025

6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and outfielder. Lean, athletic frame with quick twitch muscle, lots of room to fill out. Did a lot to help himself this fall and capped it all off at the right time, helping lead 643 to the Fall Underclass World Series finals. Balanced with minimal actions pre-pitch, short load and stride, wide base as he gets extended with his lower half, allowing him to effectively throw his trunk into the swing. Advanced hand and bat speed, gets extended with lag through the zone. Ball jumps off the bat, and has done so all fall, power to all fields. A good athlete, long easy strides around the bases. Advanced arm strength no matter the position he plays. An intriguing prospect on the mound as well due to his raw arm strength.

Michael Fredette RHP / Mount Paran Christian School, GA / 2025

5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Lean, athletic build, room to fill out. Has a bounce to his step. Short, compact arm action with explosive arm speed, coming out a ¾ slot. Hides extremely well on the back-side, doesn’t give the batters an early look. Drop and drive delivery, high leg kick at balance, keeps momentum on-line, easy effort in lower half. Fastball sat 85-89, touched 91, 24-2500 rpm, one of the most explosive pitches we saw all weekend. Slider, 72-75, downer action, struggled with command in outing, but has the makings of a future out pitch.

Hyland Brown RHP / Walton, GA / 2025

foot-4, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Long, projectable frame with lots of room to fill out. Lulls batters to sleep with his smooth, methodical build up. Stays tall on the back-side, maintaining a strong front-side, utilizes his height, works on-line, finishes with a hard follow through down the mound. Clean arm action with present arm speed to a high ¾ slot. Controlled the zone with his fastball and curveball, located to all parts. Fastball sat 84-87 with running action. Curveball, 74-76, true 12/6, depth, feel, potential swing and miss.

Reid Worley RHP / Cherokee, GA / 2025

6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher. Long and lean with room to fill out. Two things stand out about Worley: his ability to throw strikes and his ease of operation. He has an easy delivery, staying tall on his back side, and will routinely mix up timing between a short slide step and a high leg kick. The arm action is equally as easy, short stab on the back-side, turns over with quick acceleration and present arm speed to an over-the-to- slot. Gets downhill with his fastball, bore and run action low in the zone, 82-85, more in the tank. Curveball, 12/6 shape, present swing and miss pitch, tunnels well of fastball, maintains slot, tough pitch to pick up. Changeup, 73-74, sink.

Chase Quaile C / North Cobb HS, GA / 2026

5-foot-10, 150-pound left-handed hitting catcher and outfielder. Young frame that has plenty of maturing left to do, some present strength. Keeps it simple at the plate. Balanced setup with an athletic bend in his knees, smooth hand load and a cocking of the wrists coupled with a short stride. Gets into a good power position. Strong hands as he snaps the barrel through the zone with whip and present bat speed. Covers the entire plate with his swing as it lags through the zone, finishing high. Has shown the ability to use the entire field, big power potential pull-side as he continues to fill out.
