This Sunday, October 8th, the PBR Illinois team is hosting the Class of 2025 Showcase at The MAX in McCook, Ill. This is an open event for the 2025 class, and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.

ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

A pair of middle infielders from the 2023 Illinois State Games are set to attend this weekend’s event in Aadden Guerrero (St. Laurence) and Theo Greco (Lane Tech). Guerrero is ranked No. 78 in the 2025 class, and in our most recent look in Rantoul, he took one of the best rounds of batting practice. Consistently on the barrel throughout his round, the right-handed hitter has a simple swing that stays flat through contact. A 6.98 runner, his athleticism translates to the infield and he pairs it with a strong arm that has been up to 86 mph across the diamond. Greco has produced exit velocities in the low-90s at past events. He has a short swing that’s direct to the ball with some quickness in his bat (72.2 mph). He has a strong arm in the infield, too, with his best bullet on throws to first being recorded at 86 mph.

OF Owen Strahl (Lake Zurich) is a prospect our staff has gotten multiple looks at this summer, and he will provide us with an updated look this weekend. The right-handed hitter has a slightly uphill swing that routinely sends balls up the middle. He has controlled aggression in his swing with present bat speed (T79.5 mph), all while staying in control and balanced. He’s hit his hardest hit ball at 92.4 mph, sending it a max distance of 335 feet.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

Because of the high number of prospects set to attend Sunday’s event, it is imperative that you read our adjusted showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smart phone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PBR profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.
