Owen Martin, 3B/RHP, Normal University, 2018
Illinois Central JC

2.26.17 - 6-foot, 185-pound, two-way prospect with a strong frame. Offensively, right-handed hitter, pull approach, level path, some power potential. Exit velocity registered at 88 mph from a tee. Open setup with a short stride. Defensively, quick footwork, clean exchange. Long, quick arm action from an over the top angle. Throws flashed accuracy and carry, clocked at 84 mph across the diamond. 4.76 home to first runner. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, uptempo, opens early, some effort. Short arm action from an over the top angle, above average arm speed. Fastball, works mostly straight, sat 80-81 mph. Curveball, 12/6 shape, maintains arm speed, flashed sharp action, 64-68 mph. Changeup, firm, flashed arm side run, 75-78 mph.

Harry Haracz, OF/RHP, Loyola, 2018

10.16.16 - 6-foot-1,165-pound, lanky, two-way prospect. Offensively, right-handed hitter, gap-to-gap approach, short path through the zone; exit velocity registered at 86 mph. Slightly closed setup, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Defensively, reliable hands, plays through the ball. Short arm action from an over the top slot; throws clocked at 83 mph from the outfield. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, drop and drive delivery, works with rhythm, finishes athletically. Short arm action from a high ¾ angle. Fastball, works mostly straight, sat 81-82 mph. Curveball, 67-69 mph. Changeup, feel, maintains arm speed, sink action, 69-72 mph.

Simon Herold, LHP, Minooka, 2018
Benedictine University (IL)

10.8.17 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound left-handed pitcher. Smooth delivery, repeats and on line, lands square. Arm action is clean, over the top slot. Fastball is straight, 79-82 mph. Curveball plays 1/7, 69-71 mph. Changeup runs to arm side, deceptive arm action, 74-76 mph.


Bjorn Bostrom, 1B, Wheaton North, 2018
Wheaton College

8.13.17 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting first baseman with a strong frame. Offensively , balanced, slightly closed setup. Short leg lift stride with average balance. Pull hitter with a long, uphill swing path. 86 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.74. Defensively has a short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Threw 73 mph across the infield.

Oakton CC (IL)

10.8.17 - 6-foot, 193-pound, strong build, two-way prospect. At the plate, right-handed hitter, open setup, smooth load, stride varies and average balance through contact. Uphill bat path through the hitting zone, pull approach and 80 mph exit velocity. In the outfield, arm works short and loose from a high ¾ slot; topped out at 78 mph. 7.40 runner in the 60. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, stays on-line, repeats with easy effort throughout. Fastball, thrown for strikes, works straight, 78-80 mph. Curveball, short break, 12/6 shape, thrown for strikes, 69-73 mph. Changeup, near fastball arm speed, feel, 72-75 mph.

Joe Runnells, RHP, Fenwick, 2018
DePauw

10.8.17 - 6-foot-3, 215-pound right-handed pitcher, solid thick build, strong lower half. High front side delivery, works on line. Arm action is long, high ¾ slot. Fastball worked at 81-83 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 67-71 mph. Changeup is thrown with arm speed, arm side run, 69-72 mph.


Dylan Hauck, INF/RHP, Crete-Monee, 2018

Kalamazoo

2.19.17 - 6-foot-2, 175-pound infielder. Right-handed hitter, slightly open stance, loads hands back, leg kick stride, average balance. Path gets level early and stay flat with length, middle of the field line drives in BP. 89 mph exit velocity from the tee. 7.01 runner in the 60. Defensively arm action plays from a high ¾ slot, 83 mph across the diamond, gains ground through release, plays through the baseball.
