OK Summer Open Leaderboard Fastball Metrics: (Trackman Pitchers)

Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted the OK Summer Open event at the University of Central Oklahoma on July 13th. The event was comprised of players all across the state and from players coming from the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 classes. There were some players that opened some eyes with their performances from this event and today we take an in-depth look at the leaders and their fastballs captured by Trackman.

Brett Pense had an impressive day on the mound coming from his projectable frame and leading the event with a fastball up to 86.97 mph. The top velo from the 23 class belonged to Anthony Smith at 86.70 mph with Gage Geiger posting the firmest fastball at 78.90 mph in the 24 class and Brian Justice posting and impressive 79.63 mph fastball in the 2025 class.

Anthony Smith had the top spin rate on the fastball from the event at 2452 RPM giving the fastball some riding life through the zone. Jayden Minter had the top spin rate in the 2022 class at 2112 RPM with Brian Justice leading the way with an impressive 2375 RPM in the 2025 class and Gage Geiger posting the top 2024 spin rate at 2180 RPM.

Jared Mulvaney had the most horizontal break on the fastball at the event at 22.4 inches of break from the left side. Both Brian Justice in the 25 class and Gage Geiger in the 24 class came in at 22 inches of break. Brett Pense posted the most horizontal break in the 2022 class at 15.7 inches.

Both Pryce Holloway in the 22 class and Joey McLaughlin in the 2025 class posted eye popping induced vertical break in their fastballs at 25.2 inches of induced break which will give the hitters fits especially at the top of the zone. Levi Mathias had the most induced vertical break in the 24 class at an impressive 24.8 inches with Corbin Lewellen leading the way in the 2023 class at 23.1 inches of vertical break.
