Prep Baseball Report Oklahoma hosted the OK Summer Open event at the University of Central Oklahoma on July 13th.  The event was comprised of players all across the state and from players coming from the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 classes.  There were some players that opened some eyes with their performances from this event and today we take a look at the 25 pitchers that attended and break down their player reports.  We take an in depth dive into their body profiles, notes on their deliveries, arm actions, velocities, and pitch shapes.

Grayson Barnes 1B / RHP / Tuttle , OK / 2024

Positional Profile: 1B/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 180-pound physical frame with present strength.

Delivery: On the mound uses rocker style delivery working to a mid height balance point.  Slight coil of the hips and shoulders at the top of the delivery.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg and good momentum.  Maintains smooth rhythm throughout the delivery. 

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a short/stiff arm action.

FB: 74-79 mph, high release point with some arm side run and sink.

CH: 69 mph, heavy arm side fading action with fastball hand speed.

Conner Burch LHP / LHP / Sapulpa , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: LHP

Body: 6-foot-1, 195-pound well-built and athletic frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses short and simple footwork around the rubber working to a low balance point.  Slower footwork with the pace picking up after the pivot foot is turned.  Keeps hips and shoulders slightly open at the top of the delivery.   Hand breaks quickly out of the glove at the top of the balance point.  Works front the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Maintains balance and athleticism throughout the delivery.  Shows some pitchable assets on the mound with repeatable mechanics.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a quick/clean arm slot.

FB: 76-79 mph, will show some heavy arm side run at times with some sinking action.

CB: 70-72 mph, good spin with tight shape and two plane action.  Has the makings of a plus pitch in the future with good arm speed and feel for spin.

Kentstan Curry 3B / RHP / Yukon , OK / 2024

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 150-pound long and lean build with room for added strength and size in the future to the frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses short and simple footwork around the rubber working to a high balance point.  Smooth rhythm throughout the delivery with the hand breaking from the glove at the top of the delivery.  Slight bend in the knee with short push off the rubber.   Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a bent plant leg and good momentum headed towards the plate.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action with hand working straight back out of the glove.

FB: 69-72 mph, slight arm side run with some sink and command at the bottom of the zone.

SL: 62-64 mph, short 9/3 shape with some late life and command to the glove side.

CB: 58-60 mph, big shape with early break and developing spin.

Kenney Fabian SS / RHP / Choctaw , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: MIF/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 155-pound athletic and developing build with room for added strength and size in the future to the frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses a short rocker style delivery working to a mid height balance point with an up tempo pace.  Hands break out of the glove consistently at the top of the delivery.  Gets good sink into the back leg with strong push off the rubber.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound.  Finishes with good balance and maintains athleticism throughout the delivery. 

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a clean arm action.

FB: 82-83 mph, heavy arm side run and sink with good command to the arm side.

CB: 68-69 mph, tight spin with late break and good depth.

CH: 77-79 mph, mostly straight action with some late depth and fastball hand speed.

Gage Geiger OF / RHP / Westmoore, OK / 2024

Positional Profile: OF/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 158-pound long and lean frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a rocker style footwork around the rubber working to a low balance point.  Smooth and methodical rhythm and pace to the delivery.   Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Very short stride down the mound.  Maintains balance throughout the delivery.  Hands break from the at the top of the delivery.

Arm Action: ¾ arm slot with a very short arm action.

FB: 73-79 mph, heavy arm side running action.

CB: 65-66 mph, shows a feel for spin and shortens the extension of release.

Brandon Green C / RHP / Edmond North, OK / 2025

Positional Profile: C/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 150-pound lean and developing frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a short rocker style footwork around the rubber with an up tempo pace and rhythm.  Works to a high balance point with strong weight stack onto the back leg with weight shifting into the back heel.  Hand breaks from the glove as the stride leg works on the way down out and away from the body.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a soft plant leg.  Heavy body rotation off the plant leg with strong push off the back on the back foot off the rubber.

Arm Action:  High ¾ arm slot with a long and clean arm action. 

FB: 72-75 mph, mostly straight action with some riding life through the top of the zone.

CB: 60-62 mph, short two plane break with some strong east west action late.

Pryce Holloway LHP / OF / Choctaw , OK / 2022

Positional Profile: LHP

Body: 6-foot, 165-pound lean and athletic build with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a short rocker style footwork around the rubber working to a mid height balance point.  Quick pace and tempo throughout the delivery.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery with repeatable rhythm.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Heavy body rotation off the plant leg.  Gets good momentum and short push off the rubber.   Short stride down the mound.  Repeats the mechanics well.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a clean arm action.

FB: 73-75 mph, mostly straight shape with a ton of riding life through the top of the zone.

CB: 59-63 mph, will show a 12/6 break at times with solid depth and feel for spin.

CH: 67-69 mph, kills the spin very effectively and throws it with good hand speed and sell.  Solid arm side fade.

Drake Jones C / OF / Cache, OK / 2023

Positional Profile: C/OF/RHP

Body: 6-foot, 190-pound physical frame with present strength.

Delivery: On the mound uses rocker style technique footwork around the rubber working to a mid height balance point.  Hands work over the head in the delivery with a repeatable smooth rhythm.  Slight coil in the body at the top of the delivery.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Maintains balance and athleticism throughout the delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with shorter arm action.

FB: 78-84 mph, mostly straight action with solid spin and riding life through the zone.

SL: 73-74 mph, shorter cutting action with 9/3 shape.

CB: 67-70 mph, bigger shape with some late depth and downward action.

Brian Justice SS / RHP / Bixby, OK / 2025

Positional Profile: MIF/RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 152-pound athletic and developing build with room for added strength and size in the future to the frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses large rocker style delivery working to a high balance point.  Quick pace throughout the delivery and maintains the rhythm throughout the bullpen session.  Tall and fall style down the mound with good extension down the slope.  Maintains athleticism throughout the delivery and finishes on balance.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a longer arm action with hand working straight down out of the glove.

FB: 77-80 mph, arm side run with good command to the arm side. 

CB: 61-64 mph, tight spin with two plane break and solid action.

CH: 60-63 mph, very good depth with some arm side fade.  Fastball hand speed and makings of a plus pitch.  

Corbin Lewellen RHP / OF / Perry Marrons, OK / 2023

Positional Profile: OF/RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 140-pound lean and developing frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a step in front rocker style delivery working to a mid height balance point.  Up tempo pace throughout the delivery with repeatable mechanics.  Hands move up and down with the lower half in sync with clean break out of the glove.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound.  Good balance and athleticism throughout the delivery.   

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a longer arm action.

FB: 75-78 mph, very straight action with some riding life through the top of the zone.

CB: 63-65 mph, good downward biting action with tight spin and shape.

Carlos Lopez LHP / 1B / Mustang, OK / 2024

Positional Profile: 1B/LHP

Body: 5-foot-9, 186-pound proportional and athletic frame with present strength.

Delivery: On the mound works exclusively out of the stretch.  Slow and methodical rhythm working to a mid height balance point with weight leaning back on the heels.  High glove front side with heavy shoulder tilt.  Works from the third base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a bent plant leg.  Heavy rotation of the body off the plant leg.  Slight bend in the back leg with short push off the rubber.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a long arm action.

FB: 71-75 mph, heavy arm side run and sinking action.

CB: 62-64 mph, short and tight shape with developing spin.

CH: 65-66 mph, kills the spin well with some depth and arm side fading action.

Levi Mathias OF / RHP / Sapulpa, OK / 2024

Positional Profile: OF/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 185-pound athletic and projectable build.

Delivery: On the mound uses short and simple footwork around the mound working to a mid height balance point.  Slow and methodical rhythm and pace to the delivery.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery with heavy front shoulder tilt and a high front glove side.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound onto a firm plant leg.  Tall and fall style motion down the mound with strong momentum headed to the plate. 

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action.

FB: 72-74 mph, mostly straight shape with good tilting action.

CB: 65-66 mph, short and early break with tight shape.

CH: 67 mph, good downward fading action with fastball hand speed.

Joey McLaughlin OF / LHP / Harrah, OK / 2025

Positional Profile: OF/LHP

Body: 6-foot, 160-pound lean and projectable frame with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound works exclusively out of the stretch.  Works to a mid height balance point with weight stacked onto the back leg.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery with the hand working straight down out of the glove.  Tall and fall style down the mound with a slight push off the back foot.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.   

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a long arm action and short release.

FB: 72-74 mph, strong spin metrics with a lot of riding life through the top of the zone and slight arm side run.

CB: 56-58 mph, big shape with tight spin and two-plane break.

Jayden Minter RHP / 3B / Weatherford, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-4, 203-pound large and physical frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses a rocker style footwork around the rubber working to a high balance point.  Hands work up and down with the lower half and uses a glove tap hand break out of the glove.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum headed towards the plate.  Heavy body rotation off a bent plant leg. 

Arm Action: Over the top arm slot with a shorter arm action in the back and long release point. 

FB: 79-82 mph,  straight action with some riding life through the top of the zone.

CT: 68 mph, slider shape with loose spin and some action to the glove side.

CB: 58-63 mph, loose and rolling shape with developing spin and big east/west action.

Jared Mulvaney LHP / 1B / Will Rogers , OK / 2023

Positional Profile: LHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 175-pound projectable and athletic build.

Delivery: On the mound works exclusively out of the stretch working to a mid height balance point.  Strong weight stack onto the back leg with short push off the rubber.  Works from the third base side of the rubber and at times strides slightly closed down the mound.  Smooth stride down the mound into a firm front leg with the back leg coming hard through.   Low glove front side with the glove pulling in tight to the chest.  Strong rotation off of the plant leg.  Maintains balance throughout delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with whippy arm action and release.

FB: 72-76 mph, sinking action with the heavy arm side run.

SL: 66-67 mph, short action with some late depth and developing spin.

CH: 69-70 mph, slightly less spin with short fading action and fastball hand speed.

Parker Page RHP / C / Purcell, OK / 2025

Positional Profile: C/RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 150-pound lean and developing build with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a short rocker style footwork around the rubber working to a low balance point.  Weight stack is onto the back heel with the body slightly leaning forward.  Hands stay quiet throughout the delivery with the hand breaking from the glove cleanly at the top of the delivery.  Kicks the leg out on the stride.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides slightly closed to the third base side.  Strong momentum headed towards the plate.

Arm Action:  High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action. 

FB: 71-72 mph, heavy arm side run with sinking action.

SL: 62-63 mph, heavy east/west action 9-3 shape and developing spin.

CH: 63-64 mph, heavy fading action to the arm side.

Brett Pense RHP / 1B / Deer Creek, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: RHP

Body: 6-foot-3, 180-pound long and projectable build with more room for added strength to the frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses short rocker style footwork around the rubber working to a high balance point.  Smooth rhythm throughout the delivery with repeatable mechanics.  Gets weight fully stacked onto the back leg with heavy push off the rubber.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with strong momentum headed to the plate.   Lands into a firm plant leg with a longer stride and shows good flexibility.  Very well put together delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a shorter arm action and good hand speed.

FB: 85-87 mph, tons of riding life through the zone with some arm side run.

SL: 75-76 mph, shorter cutting action with late depth and good intent.  Strong feel for spin.

Anthony Smith RHP / 3B / Stillwater, OK / 2023

Positional Profile: 3B/RHP 

Body: 6-foot-1, 200-pound physically impressive frame with present strength.  

Hit: RHH.  At the plate starts with an open stance and upright posture.  Strong leg kick stride with good weight stack onto the back leg.  Gets the most out of the lower half with strong linear push off the back leg into a firm front leg.  Manipulates the lower half well to match plane with pitches down in the zone.  Slight uphill bat path and works the ball up into the air.  Pull side approach with true power potential.  Hands work very quick through the zone and has good overall bat speed.  Strong rotational acceleration metrics according to Blast Motion sensor.

Power: 89 mph exit velocity off the tee and 99 mph exit velocity during BP.

Run: 7.06 runner in the 60.

Delivery: On the mound uses short and simple footwork around the rubber working to a high balance point.  Strong weight stack onto the back leg with solid push off the rubber.  Works from the first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg.  Solid momentum head towards the plate with heavy body rotation off the plant leg.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery.  Smooth mechanics with ball coming out of the hand explosively with slight effort. 

Arm Action: RH. High ¾ arm slot with a clean and loose arm action with good hand speed.

FB: 85-87 mph, strong spin metrics with the fastball up to 2450 RPM and strong riding life through the zone.

SL: 71 mph, slurvy shape with solid spin and developing feel.

CB: 64-66 mph, bigger two plane break with more east west action and developing spin.

CH: 76-77 mph, kills the spin efficiently with arm side fading action and fastball hand speed.

Kaden Spray LHP / 1B / Sharon Mutual, OK / 2023

Positional Profile: LHP

Body: 6-foot-7, 205-pound long limbed and projectable frame.

Delivery: On the mound works exclusively out of the stretch.  Starts with the back leg pre-bent and slightly crouched posture.  Kicks the leg out and away from the body working to a mid height balance point.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery with the front shoulder slightly coiled.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with good extension.  Maintains balance throughout the delivery.  Does a good job of repeating mechanics.

Arm Action: ¾ arm slot with hand working back behind the body with a short arm action.

FB: 73-77 mph, mostly straight action with some slight arm side run and sink.

CB: 68-71 mph, short 12/6 action with developing spin and lands it in the zone.

CH: 73-74 mph, heavy arm side fade with excellent command.

Renner Starns 1B / OF / Deer Creek, OK / 2024

Positional Profile: 1B/LHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 140-pound lean and developing build with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses a rocker style delivery working to a mid height balance point.  Easy rhythm and pace to the delivery.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound.  Lands to a slightly bent plant leg with the body rotating around the plant leg. Maintains balance throughout the delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action.

FB: 67-69 mph, sinking action with heavy arm side run and good command.

CH: 64-69 mph, good arm side fading action with some depth.

Carson Wallace 1B / RHP / Edmond North, OK / 2024

Positional Profile: 1B/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 185-pound athletic and projectable.

Delivery: On the mound worked exclusively out of the stretch.  Presets weight into a bent back leg.  Works to a high balance point with slow and methodical rhythm.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery with the hand working straight back out of the glove.   High glove front side and pulls it in tight to the body.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a bent plant leg.  Finishes on balance with good flexibility.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a long arm action.

FB: 70-71 mph, mostly straight action with some sink.

CB: 53-58 mph, rolling action with developing spin.

CH: 62-63 mph, slight arm side fade with some late depth.

Cole Warren OF / RHP / Norman North, OK / 2023

Positional Profile: OF/RHP

Body: 6-foot-2, 200-pound physical and well built frame with present strength.

Delivery: On the mound starts in the middle of the rubber and drops the pivot foot back to the first base side with a step in front footwork around the rubber.  Rhythmic delivery working to a mid height balance point.  Strong weight stack onto a stiff back leg.  Slight sink into the lower half with short push off the rubber.  Slight coil of the shoulders at the top of the balance point.  Strides directionally down the center of the mound into a slightly bent plant leg.  

Arm Action:  High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action. 

FB: 77-79 mph, mostly straight action with solid spin and riding life through the zone.

CB: 65-67 mph, short break with late depth and tight shape.

CH: 70-71 mph, short fading action to the arm side with good hand speed.

Hunter Williams 3B / RHP / Yukon, OK / 2022

Positional Profile: RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 185-pound proportional frame with strength in the lower body.

Delivery: On the mound uses rocker style delivery with an up tempo pace.  Works to a mid height balance point with weight fully stacked onto a firm back leg.  Tall and fall style action down the mound.  Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with good balance and momentum headed towards the plate.  Lands into a firm plant leg.    Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery.  Maintains balance throughout the delivery.  Repeats the mechanics well.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a clean arm action.

FB: 74-81 mph, slight arm side run with strong riding life through the zone.  Short extension with slight sink. 

Jacob Williams C / 3B / Edmond Memorial , OK / 2023

Positional Profile: C/RHP

Body: 5-foot-10, 200-pound physical and stout frame.

Delivery: On the mound uses a short rocker style delivery with a quick pivot foot.  Easy mechanics and rhythm throughout the delivery.  Works to a mid height balance point. With weight stacked onto the back leg heel.  Hand breaks from the the glove at the top of the delivery down around the belt.  Works from the far first base side of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound with good momentum into a firm plant leg.  Repeats mechanics well.  

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a long and loose arm action.

FB: 74-78 mph, strong arm side run with sinking action.

CB: 63-68 mph, two plane break with heavy east/west shape and developing spin.  Can command it well.

CH: 69-70 mph, very straight action with short depth and fastball hand speed.

Isaac Worden LHP / C / Edmond North, OK / 2025

Positional Profile: OF/LHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 160-pound athletic and projectable build with room for added strength and size in the future.

Delivery: On the mound uses rocker style delivery with the footwork around the rubber working to a mid height balance point.  Quick rhythm into a slower leg lift with weight shifted onto the front toe.  Hand breaks from the glove at the top of the delivery working straight down out of the glove.  Short stride down the center of the mound into a slightly bent plant leg.  Maintains balance and athleticism throughout the delivery.

Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a loose arm action and whippy hand.

FB: 75-78 mph, shows some heavy arm side run at times with solid spin metrics and command.

CB: 63-65 mph, two plane break with good depth and feel for spin.  Makings of a plus pitch in the future.

CH: 65-66 mph, kills the spin well with good hand speed.  Mostly straight action with tons of riding life through the zone.
