2024 GHSA Preview: North Hall Trojans

The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

North Hall returns a deep group of offensive talent after just losing a few senior talents in 2023. The middle infield combo of seniors Jon Jon Read and Luke Sanders will lead the charge as potential all-region players with complete profiles both at the plate and defensively. Kennesaw State commit senior Ajay Jones has true game-changing speed in CF that will be a major catalyst at the top of the lineup as well. Mills Lothridge and Kenny Foudy earned valuable reps this last year for these Trojans in 2023, and look set for major roles this upcoming spring, in many facets. Another sophomore North Hall will be counting on is two-way talent Kaleb Sexton who will SP1 as a LHP as well as starting 1B most nights. There is some youth in the pitching staff that will have to mature quickly, but there’s pitchability throughout that gives a sound floor overall. Cherokee Bluff has earned a ton of helium heading into this spring, but it wouldn’t be wise to count out coach Trevor Flow and this deep Trojans squad from yet another region crown.
