Report: Jasen moves into the Top 10 at number 6 after a dominant year as a two way player. Primary SS with a strong arm the ability to stick there defensively. At the plate was a key piece of the OLSM lineup showing some pop. Showed off big strides on the mound and didn’t allow a run all year as the closer. Up to 92 with a sharp breaking ball and has all the makings of a high level two way player.

Jaxon Huffman RHP / 3B / Mona Shores, MI / 2023

Works low 90’s with the fastball getting up to 94 with a four pitch mix that includes a curveball and slider. Intriguing arm that with a lot to like as he continues to refine his arsenal on the mound.

Risers

Gannon Grundman LHP / Hartland, MI / 2023

Report: A long, lean left handed arm, Gannon is one of the biggest risers in the 2023 Michigan rankings. Michigan State recruit works mid to upper 80’s on the mound with movement. Established himself as a high level arm this spring with a strong high school season that included multiple pitching duels with high school national champion Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. Has an ideal frame for projection on the mound and is one of the highest upside guys in the class.

Brayden Dowd CF / LHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2023

Report: Athletic outfielder with a strong lower half climbs up the rankings after a breakout 2022 season. Emerged as one of the top players on a young and talented Brother Rice team. Runs well and showed some pop at the plate from the left side. Capped off a strong summer with a commitment to USC.

Newcomers

Garrett Brewer LHP / OF / Berrien Springs, MI / 2023

Into the upper 80’s on the mound with a projectable 6-foot-2, 170 pound frame. Aaron Jasiak SS / RHP / Parchment, MI / 2023

Primary imfielder with an ability to stick at short and a big time arm that was up to 90 across the infield. Athletic and projectable at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds witha  line drive approach at the plate. Intriguing on the mound where he worked mid 80’s with a tight breaking ball.

Sleepers

Adrian Epps CF / 2B / West Bloomfield, MI / 2023

Report: Adrian is one of the premier defensive center fielders in the state of Michigan. Former Future Games player who made a number of highlight reel defensive plays showing tremendous range. Made strides at the plate this spring putting together a solid high school season and is one of the top uncommitted players in the state.

Samuel Schafer RHP / SS / Hudsonville, MI / 2023

Report: Right-handed arm that has flashed a big time arm on the mound over the last two years. Throws out of a low slot on the mound working upper 80’s topping out at 91.
