What To Watch For - The third place team in 4A a season ago, Tahoma lost a good chunk of departing seniors heading into their 2024 campaign. However, with a lot of pitchers returning on the staff, there is plenty of reason for optimism as they prepare to compete with a revamped offense. Look for '24 1B/RHP Jackson Walker (Yakima Valley) to put up some big offensive numbers while hitting in the center of their lineup. The athletic MIF duo of '26 Beckett Turnbow and '25 Nate Kimmel are both off to strong campaigns offensively while being dependable playmakers on the dirt.

Returning 2-way players '25 3B/RHP Bryson Leach (Gonzaga) and OF/LHP Adam Jay will both contribute consistently with their arms as well as at the plate. Early on both have turned in strong performances while also helping guide the offense. '26 INF/RHP Sean Evans will be asked to do a lot of things on the diamond this season between his defensive versatility, raw power and arm talent. He's one of the top overall prospects in the stacked '26 class. We're also really high on '26 LHP Neal Buris after the impressive lefty has shown quality stuff early on.

Coach Brett Jaime says early April tilts against Kennedy Catholic and mid-April contests against Lake Washington and Federal Way will be good tests of his ballclub’s 2024 strength. As it currently stands, Tahoma is 3-2 with tough losses against defending state champ Eastlake as well as a DH split with Camas. We will see how things progress with this young roster throughout the course of the season.
