What To Watch For - The West Seattle Wildcats have been one of the most consistent teams in the state at any level across the last 2 seasons. With back to back appearances in the state semi’s, they bring back an experienced and talented roster for the 2024 season.

Obviously replacing the innings and production from current Gonzaga freshman LHP Miles Gosztola will be a challenge but the 2 arms at the top of the rotation with ‘24 RHP Miles Chandler (Washington State) and ‘24 RHP/OF Matthew Henning (Washington) are as strong as any combo in the state. Add in rotational/bullpen pieces such as ‘24 John Langen, ‘24 Sam Waskowitz, occasionally ‘24 Caden Fahy from SS & the arm talent of ‘26 Jake McCall and there is a nice blend of experience & depth.

On the offensive side, the line-up is stacked with senior performers who are battle tested. ‘24 Matthew Henning (Washington) and ‘24 Caden Fahy (Pennsylvania) are the two D1 bats to watch and possess the ability to produce for both average and power. ‘24 OF Tristan Buehring (Whitman), ‘24 INF Bobby Trigg (Bellevue College) and ‘24 OF/1B Sabin Tomlinson bring a ton of experience and have consistently performed over the last few seasons in big moments. The depth of SR bats is tough for other rosters to match. Look for underclassmen ‘25 OF/1B Lukas Cheha, ‘26 INF/RHP Jake McCall and ‘25 INF Clay Pecore to get opportunities early on this season and as they gain experience, the Wildcats offense has a chance to be even tougher to handle.

Overall, this is one of the strongest rosters in the state with a track record of making deep runs into the playoffs. They are yet again a title contender in 3A for the 2024 season.
