Our goal at Prep Baseball Report is to promote high school players, and give them the exposure they need to be able to play at the next level. With the 2020 high school season in limbo, we want to continue to be able to promote players, even when baseball is not being played. This spring, we will be spotlighting several uncommitted seniors to help them get the exposure they need to play at the next level in 2021.

Next up is uncommitted 2020 OF Malik Staples (Elev8 Academy). Staples is an athletic outfielder at 6-foot, 185 pounds. He has an above average run tool and a quick first step in the outfielder.

7.26.16 - 6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. At the plate hits from a narrow slightly open stance with a short leg lift stride. Gap to gap hitter with a short swing path and fast bat. Showed strength thru contact with 84 mph exit velocity from a tee. 4.59 runner down the line. Defensively has a long arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fluid footwork with average hands. Threw 80 mph from the outfield.
