This Tuesday, June 27th, the PBR Wisconsin team is hosting the Madison Open at Sun Prairie East High School in Sun Prairie, WI, a new event added to the summer circuit. This is an open event for all high school classes (2024-27), and gives our staff an ample look at the area’s top players.

2023 ROSTER

As previously mentioned, this will be the first ever Madison Open, as PBR Wisconsin continues to expand their showcase amenities and coverage of prep prospects across the Badger State. The roster presents many newcomers, along with a few athletes who made a name for themselves during the spring season.

To start, 1B/RHP Ethan Hibicke (Sussex Hamilton, 2025) and C Luka Tusic (Sussex Hamilton, 2025) are a pair of high school teammates who made appearances at the Chicagoland Open a couple of weeks ago, and performed well at the showcase. Hibicke had exit velocities ranging up to 91 mph, averaging around the mid-80s throughout his BP performance. The two-way prospect got up on the mound too, reaching 81 mph with a fastball, sitting between 78-80. On the other hand, Tusic displayed pop times between 2.12-2.26 seconds, entering Tuesday as one of the top backstops in the pool of competition.

OF Luke Krull (Xavier, 2024) is a prospect who made his first appearance last summer, as he returns in 2023 after coming off of a varsity season where he hit leadoff and played centerfield for Xavier. The right-handed hitter topped out at 91 mph in exit velocity at the Underclass Open a year ago, as we’re interested to see his progress as he prepares for his final summer circuit and senior season.

Earlier in the winter, MIF Jack Tubbs (Stratford, 2024) took on the Madison Preseason ID, featuring an athletic and well-proportioned 5-foot-9, 170-pound frame. Tubbs finished with an 86 mph max exit velocity at the plate with a consistent and relaxed swing, while also showing well on the infield with an accurate arm.

Jack Tubbs (3/12/23)

OF Jeffrey Freund (Beaver Dam, 2025), MIF Aidan Kammer (Jefferson, 2024), RHP/OF Benjamin Ketelson (Sun Prairie West, 2024) all enjoyed quality spring seasons for their respective high schools, as each makes their first appearance at a PBR showcase on Tuesday. Freund and Kammer were inserted as top-of-the-order bats in their lineups, and Ketelson finished with a 4-1 record on the mound in his first varsity season.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a PBR showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS
