Updated Class of 2021 Player Rankings (September)

Well another season is behind us and Covid-19 changed everything of the class of 2021. There are plenty of talented players up and down the New England region. We hope to point out a few that will catch your eye. The summer has been a test for everyone and after not playing all spring the players jump right back at this summer. We didn’t see much rust as the players showed well at our events in New England

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the 2021 Player Rankings.

WHO’S AT THE TOP?

  • Josh Baez (Video) is our #1 ranked player in the 2021 class as he is a monster with the bat and on the bump.
  • Christian Moore, is a superior athlete headed to Tennessee. He does it all.
  • Matt Garbowski, left-handed hitting catcher headed to UConn. He continues to fill out and grow as a player.
  • Dennis Colleran, the right-handed power arm has made a significant jump in velocity this summer.
  • Jonathan Santucci, left-handed hitting outfielder headed to Duke has had another breakout summer. The bat has really taken off and he shows a power arm on the mound as well.

NOTABLE NEWCOMERS

  • Ryan Minckler, right-hander headed to University Virginia. Shows above average stuff and projects very well based on his frame.
  • Sean Scanlon (Video), left-handed hitter and right handed pitcher is headed to Holy Cross.
  • Nathan Lincoln, popped up on the radar last week as he is a 6.5 runner who can really swing the bat.
  • Owen MacDonnell, big left-handed pitcher with a plus breaking ball. He showed well for us at the last two events.
  • Ian Cooke, a thick, durable right-handed pitcher, out of the Canterbury School, headed to Uconn, showed a power arm.

SLEEPERS

  • Michael Meagher, right-handed hitting catcher who is tucked away on the Cape.
  • Zach Mooers (Video), 6.5 runner who can really swing the bat as the frame is physical.
  • Ryan Eaton, plus runner with athletic actions, as his game is trending up.
  • Luke LaSaracina, I am a big fan of his game as he can really run and he has juice in the bat.

COACHES SHOULD CIRCLE BACK ON THESE PLAYERS

  • Pierce Hingtgen, prototype right-handed hitting corner infielder. The bat has plus juice in it.
  • Yechiel Saint, athletic player at Bridgton Academy. His skill set is versatile.
  • Andrew Smithson (Video), left-handed pitcher who is still looking for a home. He flashed 3 pitches for strikes.
  • Cody Smith, excellent athlete who plays centerfield and can jump on the bump as well.
  • Carter Kelsey, up to 88 mph with deception and crossfire to the delivery
  • Jack Czaja, physical right-handed hitter who showed extremely well at a recent event.
  • Colin Brodeur, right-handed pitcher who has made a velocity jump in the last 3 months.
  • Tommy Beauregard, athletic middle infielder with plus instincts for the game.
  • Griffin Pontbriant, right-handed pitcher, has been up to 88 mph this summer through video, has natural sink and action.
