On Monday, Aug. 22 the PBR Wisconsin team is hosting the Eastern Wisconsin Open at the Wildwood Park in Sheboygan, Wis. This is an open event for all high school classes (2023 through 2026), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.

EVENT HISTORY

We've been hosting this event for the past five years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2021, there are already 12 commitments.

Last year gave us our first look at INF Luis Serrano (Jefferson, 2022; Bryant & Stratton JC commit) who ultimately committed to local JUCO program Bryant & Stratton later on in 2021. Another name who we got our first look at was RHP Jack Ryan (Janesville Craig, 2022; Wisconsin-Whitewater) which earned him a spot on our 2022 rankings for the first time shortly after.

2022 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

C Gavin Obremski (Mosinee, 2024) has been on our radar for a couple years now, and he’s still just entering his junior year. Obremski is a strong 6-foot-2, 205-pound switch-hitting catcher with an especially interesting offensive profile from the left-handed box. He’s shown flashes of real pull-side power from there, and he also has continued to improve as a defender behind the plate, which only enhances his overall prospect stock.

A name that has impressed our staff a handful of times before, OF River Lindsey (New Berlin Eisenhower, 2023) is set to attend Monday’s event. Lindsey is built at a lean 6-foot-2, 175-pounds and has consistently shown off his high-end athleticism as he has recorded lows of 6.59 in the 60-yard dash. He couples this with a strong arm from the outfield, one that has topped at 89 mph in our looks to round out his advanced defensive skill set.

Throughout the spring 3B Jordan Bundy (Milton, 2024) played an integral role for Division-1 state champs Milton, as just a sophomore. Although we have seen Bundy a limited number of times throughout the spring and the summer, we are excited to get a more in-depth look at this uncommitted junior.

OF Gabriel Ciralsky (University School of Milwaukee, 2025) is a young prospect that is no stranger to our staff. Last summer, Ciralsky was invited to LakePoint in Emerson, GA to represent Team Wisconsin at the PBR Junior Future Games. There, Ciralsky showed off his inherent athleticism and his ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field. After a full season of high school baseball at the varsity level, we are excited to get an updated look at Ciralsky.

There’s a few more names we’re interested in getting an updated look at, like LHP Riker Blahnik (Appleton West, 2024), a 6-foot-1 left-hander with arm speed. UTL Tanner Hraby (Medford Area, 2024) has been a regular contributor to a quality Medford program since he was a freshman, and we’re looking forward to seeing him again in Sheboygan. This will be MIF Rory Dutton’s (Tremper, 2024) first-ever PBR showcase, but we’re familiar with his skill set and he comes from a talented family, with older brothers Reese (2019; Heartland CC) and Riley (2021; Wisconsin-Platteville) now thriving in college. Rory is a left-handed-hitting middle infielder with barrel control and up-the-middle actions.
