PBR Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week: LHP Carson Dupuis

LHP/1B Carson Dupuis (Edgerton, 2023; Upper Iowa commit) helped the Crimson Tide to a successful 3-1 week in the team's first week of May. On both sides of the ball, Edgerton leaned on Dupuis and he delivered, and he has earned our PBR Wisconsin ‘Pitcher of the Week’ award as result.

To start his exceptional week, Dupuis got the start against Evansville and he was lights out. Across his seven inning, complete game gem, where he struck out a total of 12 batters, and scattered just three hits, while not walking a single batter to earn the shutout win. He continued to dominate on the mound in Edgerton’s matchup with Big Foot later on in the week as he twirled his second complete game shutout in five days, which included 13 strikeouts, en route to the Crimson Tide’s dominant 23-0 win. 

Not only was Dupuis a catalyst on the mound, he was also one of the top offensive contributors all week long for Edgerton. On Thursday, he tallied a whopping four hits, two of which were doubles, to drive in five runs, and scored two more of his own. Then on Friday, in Edgerton’s only loss of the week, Dupuis smacked a solo home run, too. He rounded out his stand out week with yet another four-hit performance on Saturday, which included a pair of doubles, and another home run to finish the game with five more RBIs. 

Overall, Dupuis was dominant on both sides of the ball as he struck out a whopping 25 batters while not allowing a run in his two starts. At the plate, he combined for nine hits, five of which were for extra bases, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored.
