PBR Wisconsin Player of the Week: MIF/RHP Camden Kuhnke

The Polar Bears have been one of the most successful teams this season, and last week they made their biggest jump up our Power 25 board to No. 3. A big reason for that has to do with MIF/RHP Camden Kuhnke (2023; Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit), whose two-way talents jolted Hortonville to a perfect 4-0 week, and he is named our ‘Player of the Week’ because of that.

To start his week, Kuhnke and his Polar Bear squad took down a tough Kaukauna squad 11-0. In that one, Kuhnke’s bat was hot as he went 3-for-5 and drove in a team-high five RBIs, while also scoring one run. Game two is where he would put his two-way capabilities on display, as he went 1-for-3 with one RBI, and also earned the win on the mound due to his five strikeout efforts over 2.1 innings of relief.

On Thursday, Kuhnke was once again a difference maker at the plate, helping the Polar Bears to a close 4-1 win over conference foe, Oshkosh North. In that one, he went 2-for-2, which included a triple and a home run, to drive one RBI. He then capped off his week with a one-double performance against a streaking Menasha team and also drove in one run.
