Today’s Unsigned Senior Spotlight is on catcher Hayden Fenner. Fenner is a 2013 graduate of Ripon HS who has been contributing to the varsity squad ever since he enrolled at Ripon his freshman year. As a sophomore Fenner helped to lead the Tigers to a Conference Championship, capped off by a State Championship at the Division 2 level.

In 2012 Fenner was also a First Team All-Conference selection in the Eastern Valley Conference.

Fenner is a 5-foot-8, 170-pound left handed hitting catcher. Fenner shows a solid setup behind the dish giving a low target while displaying soft hands. His arm plays well behind the dish working from a short over the top slot. Offensively, he hits from a slightly open stance using a short bat path and exhibits extension through the baseball.

Fenner will a leader in the dugout for the Tigers in 2013 and is one of the top unsigned catchers in the senior class.
