This summer has seen a ton of action in Wisconsin’s 2019 class. The junior year summer always seems to be primed for big jumps in a prospect’s development and this one proved it again. This update seems to have it all, a new No. 1 some big time risers, and high impact new additions to the top of the rankings. We’ll take you through a quick look at the top ten, then stay tuned for more dissection of the rest of the top 70 later this week.

Leading the 2019 class this summer is left-handed hitting catcher Nate Stevens (Waunakee). Stevens has shown his bat can play at the highest levels, and the Arkansas commit has a serious arm behind the dish. Stevens was the only 2019 selected to the Upperclass Area Code Games representing the Midwest. His profile as a left-handed hitting catcher with athleticism will make him an interesting draft prospect heading into next summer and his stock will only rise as he improves his receiving abilities behind the dish.
There must be something in the lakes of Wisconsin’s northwest, as Division 4 semi-finalist Webster is home to two of the top arms in the the state. RHP’s Jack Washburn and Hunter Rosenbaum come in at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, both have big arms that will sit in the upper 80’s and both have plus-potential secondary stuff. The pair recently showed extremely well at the PBR Future Games, showcasing swing and miss stuff on one of the biggest stages of the summer.
Coming in at No. 4 and also hailing from the west part of the state is Tomah’s Connor Prielipp. Prielipp is one of the more projectable southpaw’s in the Midwest. His arm is textbook clean and easy, has swing and miss stuff and already sits in the mid-to-upper 80’s.
