By: Adam Panayotoich
Area Scout

Continuing on our coverage of the Summer Preseason I.D., today we look at the pitchers.

Headlining this group is 2020 RHP Gavin Hinckley (West Bend West) and 2019 RHP Riley LeTourneau (Brookfield East). Hinkley had advanced feel for his fastball/changeup mix vamping up his heater to 87 mph. The 6-foot-2 righty had ability to pull the string on his changeup, maintaining fastball arm speed with almost identical window and arm slot. However, LeTourneau held the top spot on the velocity leaderboard by two ticks, clocking in at 89 mph. Both righties had command at the bottom of the zone with their fastball and feel for a secondary offering.

LHP Tyler Drezek (West Allis Central) led the southpaws in attendance with a rather impressive performance. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound lefty hurler ran his 2-seamer up to 86 mph with occasional sharp break to his curveball.
