On Saturday, Mar. 16, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff heads to the MOSH Performance Center to host the fourth annual Milwaukee Preseason ID. This is an open event to all high school classes (2024-27) and gives our staff an in-depth look at the talent spread throughout the state.

EVENT HISTORY

Last year, the Milwaukee Preseason ID was one of the largest, if not the largest Preseason ID event in Prep Baseball history. Numbers are near the same for 2024, as the roster will look to match and possibly exceed the performances from the year prior.

RHP’s Kyle Alivo (St. Thomas More, 2024; Iowa commit) and Payten Jibben (Oak Creek, 2024; Illinois-Chicago) were two of the top arms at the 2023 Milwaukee Preseason ID. The event turned out to be a precursor to a dominant spring and summer for both Alivo and Jibben. Alivo led St. Thomas More to the Div. 2 State Championship game, and Jibben was a two-way star on one of the best teams in the state.

As for the southpaws, LHPs Tannis Lange (Waukesha South, 2024; Ohio State) and Tyler Wille (Kettle Moraine, 2024; Davidson) were two upper-80s to low-90s pitchers that excelled in Milwaukee last March. Lange was fresh off of a 2022 Prep Baseball Future Games appearance, and Wille used his showing to jumpstart a successful 2023—emerging as one of the top left-handers in the state next to Lange.

INF Brock Lulewicz (Muskego, 2024; Wichita State) finished as one of the top bats from the event—posting strong exit velocities while showing well defensively. Lulewicz enjoyed a quality summer and earned an invite to Prep Baseball Illinois’ Preseason Procase event during this past winter. Lulewicz is ranked as Wisconsin’s No. 3 prospect, and is primed for an elite spring in his final year of prep baseball.

RHP Nicholas Heisl (Germantown, 2024; Wisconsin-Milwaukee) and 1B/LHP Graham Kasten (University School, 2024; Concordia (WI)) both emerged as standouts at the 2023 Milwaukee Preseason ID, and further established themselves on our prospect watch list. That eventually garnered them attention at the PBRT Wisconsin Open up in Mauston this past summer—earning commitments later on down the road.

RHP/INF Sam Moses (Cedarburg, 2024; Madison JC) was in a similar boat and got on our radar during the summer. After ranging in the mid-to-upper-80s on the mound at the 2023 Milwaukee Preseason ID, his standout performance at the Super 17 at Creekside was noteworthy and eventually led to a commitment to Madison JC for next fall.

2024 ROSTER

This year’s roster boasts a similar skill set amongst the pool of prospects, as our staff is excited to get new looks at the progress of athletes from the greater Milwaukee area and beyond.

Two committed juniors will be making their way to the MOSH Performance Center on Saturday in LHP/1B Adam Kudronowicz (Mukwonago, 2025; Central Florida) and INF Jack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025; Indiana State). Both emerged as quality prospects at the 2023 Prep Baseball Future Games—contributing for Team Wisconsin in a positive manner.

Adam Kudronowicz [7/28/23]
Jack Lutz [7/27/23]

As for the uncommitted prospects, 1B/RHP Cameron St. John (2025) is listed at the top—emerging as one of the biggest winners of the 2023 circuit in both the showcase setting and in live action. Standing at a physical 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame, St. John has some of the most explosive tools in the 2025 class, not just in Wisconsin, but in the Midwest. The right-handed hitter has posted exit velocities beyond 100 mph in the past (T105 mph), averaging an exit velocity in the upper-90s for his entire round of BP. St. John presents relaxed hands and an explosive swing—providing above average bat speed and barrel awareness when he is up to bat. He has also added pitching to his repertoire over the offseason, with reports of him ranging in the low-90s. The righty currently ranks at No. 16 in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, as his stock continues to rise.

Cameron St. John [3/12/23]

RHP/1B Rocco Conrad (New Berlin West, 2025) is another physical name-to-know in the Badger State’s 2025 class, presenting himself at 6-foot-4, 246-pounds. Conrad came away a winner from the West Milwaukee Preseason ID back in February—putting on one of the best two-way performances of the day. Conrad has a powerful bat at the plate, but really elevated his status with a 91 mph fastball paired with a mature arsenal of pitches on the mound. Conrad used his large frame to impress our scouting staff—demonstrating his growth as a pitcher over the offseason.

Rocco Conrad [2/17/24]

RHP/INF Cade Minatto (Indian Trail, 2026) is a prospect to monitor in his sophomore campaign, as he emerged as one of the biggest winners from the summer circuit in 2023. Minatto stands at a strong 6-foot, 180-pounds, and excelled on the mound—garnering attention at the 15U National Championship down in Georgia. The right-hander presents a fastball with life through the zone, and doesn’t shy away from using a high-spin breaking ball to keep hitters off balance. Our staff is excited to see Minatto in the showcase setting for the first time since the 2023 South Milwaukee Preseason ID

Cade Minatto [7/9/23]

RHP Jack Roventini (Arrowhead, 2025) is getting prepared to be a part of one of the best pitching staffs in the state this spring, but will first put some work in at the MOSH Performance Center on Saturday. In the past, Roventini has worked in the mid-to-upper-80s with a lively fastball that showed well at the Top Propsect Games in Milwaukee in 2023. Roventini stands at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, and still has room to fill out as he begins his junior season. With a three-pitch mix, Roventini continues to trend up as Wisconsin’s No. 31st ranked prospect in the 2025 class.

Jack Roventini [7/11/23]

RHP/SS Chance Ruby (Wilmot, 2026) slots in as the No. 12 ranked athlete in the Badger State’s 2026 class, one that showcases talent and depth throughout. Ruby, standing at a mature 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame, was a winner over the summer and has developed at a high rate throughout the offseason. Ruby has a quiet approach at the plate and finds the barrel on a consistent basis—providing some easy pop with the ability to spray line drives to all fields. He can also get it done on the mound—ranging in the mid-80s (T85 mph) with the fastball while using three offspeed pitches to navigate opposing lineups. The changeup stands out as a pitch to click in the near future, as Ruby has demonstrated a comfortable feel for it in recent memory. Ruby will be an intriguing follow at Saturday’s event and for the Panthers later on in the spring.

Chance Ruby [7/2/23]

INF/RHP Kyle Rogosienski (Muskego, 2027) is an exciting underclassman to follow as he begins his first year of high school baseball. Rogosienski is fresh off of representing Team Wisconsin at the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games, where he showed well in a two-way setting, both in the showcase and live portion of the event. The left-handed hitter is an athletic mover at 5-foot-11, 150-pounds—running a 7.09-second 60-yard dash at LakePoint. Rogosienski continues to show growth on the mound—featuring a competitive mindset paired with a quality arsenal, which includes a low-80s fastball.

Kyle Rogosienski [7/25/23]

RHP Ryan Buchta (Oak Creek, 2025), RHP Dylan Campeau (Greendale, 2025) and RHP/INF Dean Staudacher (Muskego, 2025) are three right-handed pitchers who are looking to take the next step for their respective varsity teams this upcoming spring. They will be in attendance on Saturday to showcase their growth and development over the offseason. Buchta is making his first showcase appearance since showing well last year at this same event. Campeau was at the Milwaukee Preseason ID two years ago, and has continued to excel on the mound as an upperclassman. Our staff did see Staudacher at the West Milwaukee Preseason ID earlier this winter, as he emerged as a two-way follow after posting a 91.7 mph max exit velocity and lit up radar guns with a 97 mph throw across tthe infield at the showcase. Similar to Buchta and Campeau, Staudacher has elevated his status on the mound, too.

Dean Staudacher [2/17/24]

RHP/INF’s Sam Hoeft (Port Washington, 2025) and Ryan Apel (Homestead, 2025) are a pair of juniors who will be competing against each other in the North Shore Conference for the next two seasons. They have each performed well on the mound in front of our staff, Hoeft doing so at the Top Prospect Games and Apel at the Eastern Wisconsin Open. In the summer, each prospect excelled at the plate as well—coming off of strong spring seasons as just sophomores. They offsesaon work will be on display on Saturday at the MOSH Performance Center.

Sam Hoeft [7/11/23]

In southeast Wisconsin, Elkhorn Area has numerous arms returning to their pitching staff this year—including RHP’s Abe Herchenbach (2025) and Paulson Yesbeck (2025). Herchenbach is listed at No. 48 in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, and has touched 85 mph with the fastball in prior events. A similar arm talent is present with Yesbeck, who took on the Milwaukee Open and emerged as a pitcher-to-know for the future. Each will play a big role for the Elks this upcoming spring and will be monitored closely at the MOSH Performance Center on Saturday.

Paulson Yesbeck [6/20/23]

Quality middle infielders will be scattered throughout the event on Saturday, which includes names such as MIF’s Braylan Bigler (Brookfield Central, 2025), Nathan Glapa (Sussex Hamilton, 2025), Henry Lynde (Menomonee Falls, 2025) and Owen McLellan (Shorewood, 2026). Each prospect has shown well in a different setting in front of our staff, whether that was in prior showcases or in live action on the diamond.

Henry Lynde [6/30/23]

A trio of Muskego underclassmen in INF/RHP Carter Nicolato (2026), OF Jackson Niemiec (2026) and INF Cruz Ramirez (2026) will be making an appearance in Milwaukee on Saturday. All excelled over the summer circuit—including Nicolato who really found a rhythm at the plate. Each prospect features promise as they continue to develop as sophomores.

Carter Nicolato [6/30/23]

Over the summer, OF/RHP Hayden Konczal (Nicolet, 2027) and RHP/1B Henry Koopmeiners (Waukesha North, 2027) were a pair of teammates who played as big threats at the plate at the 14U PBR at The Rock Summer Championships. Konzcal is a scrappy defender with pull-side power—projecting as a key piece in any lineup in the future. Koopmeiners is a physical 6-foot-4, 209-pound athlete who has also shown well on the mound.
