The 2024 Georgia high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in mid-May inside one of Coolray Field, AdventHealth Stadium, or JI Clements Stadium at Georgia Southern University. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

+ Coach McCollum and the Bulldogs came off a strong season in 2023 with a 20-12 record and a Sweet 16 appearance in the class 7A Playoffs. Senior Alex Hernandez (Georgia Tech Commit) will lead the Bulldogs on the mound and will be a big factor in the success of the Forsyth Central offense in 2024. Junior Josh Gibbs (Georgia Commit) will look to have a breakout year as he leads the defense at SS and will be relied on at the top of the lineup. Junior Brady Smith will lead the OF as he looks to have a strong season in 2024 for the Bulldogs. Forsyth Central will open up their 2024 campaign against Decatur on Friday, February 16th.
